What's New In Space Talk

STEM Ambassador Katherine, a former Chief Executive of the UK Space Agency, Chair of the Global Network on Sustainability in Space, and Founder of PrimarySpace.org will tell us about why she cares so much about space, why we should all care about protecting the space environment, and about some of the people and companies doing exciting work to clean up and keep space safe for the future.
Katherine will share some interesting facts about satellites; how we depend on them in our everyday lives; and why we need them to tackle climate change and protect the Earth’s environment.
She will also talk about new and exciting space businesses - for instance; human habitats, asteroid mines and orbiting solar power plants - and how entrepreneurs and inventors are coming up with new and better ways of taking care of the space environment.
This talk will be informative and fun and will offer a different way of engaging with space as a topic.
