The Irish, Italians, and Mexicans are very similar.
-Super Catholics (grandmas go to church 3+ times a week)
    - Big families
    - Always were fighting each other and others
    - Discriminated by Americans when we first immigrated here
    - Big into organized crime
    - Poor
    - great people that'll have your back for life
Viva la Mexico, Slainte, and Bada Bing

Hey Dubs, you said to give you ideas in the comments, well here's one. I see a lot of channels talk about prison experiences but I dont believe I've ever seen one that dedicates an episode or a video to dive deep into the basics of prison when you first get locked up. The booking process, the choosing your clothes process, the finding your cell/unit process, the bending over and coughing process, all that. For people that never been to prison, I think thats something no one has talked about. What to expect not so much from a politics stand point but from a "brand new never been to prison its my first time" perspective and what to expect

Jimmy, the weasel Was the Italians name I believe you are talking about. I read his book and he was just one of those mafiosos that could not get a break. Every time he got close to owning a casino or having a big piece of something, the feds usually caught up with him or something else derailed his plans. He had a real hard luck story as a gangster But I do remember him talking about a certain organization in San Quentin that he definitely was learning from while also trying to school them on how to run things on the outside. Great book.

Off topic a bit: Back in 2015’ I went to Vegas (Caesars palace) bar/restaurant to be exact. I was eating at the bar then I went to get a drink refill near the edge of the bar before I left the bar but before I got there I realized there was three older peeps (50/60 yr olds) talking, one man sitting down by edge of bar and a woman in a badass Mink trench coat like Frank Lucas coat at the boxing ring and I’m guessing her body guard behind her and I could tell he was her body guard based on movement, position stance, and aerial detail. So I walked over and was waiting for bartender to fill my glass but was taking forever. Well this is when I started hearing the Convo from the guy sitting down and at one point tried recording it but wasn’t easy back then with a cheap android phone. At first I didn’t recognize they were the Chicago Mafia/Mob or associated with them until I heard more of the Convo.
Convo: ~~> More-less the man sitting down was telling the Woman in the Mink he was connected to her Father back in the days(deceased already) in Chicago and how he was a great man and a powerful man in the Organization. Pretty much the whole Convo was about Chicago and how the Government is still messing with them.
If you do your research and follow the movie Casino it’s Chicago(and Kansas City) who was skimming them and put a hit squad out there to protect certain individuals running the Casinos but shit hit the fan at the end.

For example, when you were talking about the south states like Tennessee if there was a large population of Mexicans, that ultimately went to prison I wonder if they would organize at least in your story. But another great video and something that I never really thought of but was real interesting.

Shout out to the Cosa Nostra. Much respect i also experienced a situation where a Capo was in AZ. As a Southerner we had a respectful correspondance but once he started flexing the Raza in AZ made it clear. Out here the Raza runs the show so behave or get distinguished. The crazy part is they run with the woods and hated it😅

the whole area around the san jose shark tank used to be mafia in the 50s. they even tore down the most beautiful cathedral in the state "church of the holy family" built like st peters in rome. because it was the mob church in san jose. it once sat where the 87 bridge is on san fernando st. down the street from st josephs.

A lot of people don’t know this but back in the day we weren’t allowed to speak Spanish on the phone or the tower would immediately cut the phone off and you’d be given a 115 , I know that when my brother was in San Quentin in the late 70’s he would call and my mom didn’t speak English and when my brother would start speaking Spanish the phone would go dead and my brother would receive a 115

People think there's no families in California it's all in New York and New Jersey Chicago and stuff but trust me there is some families in California personally knew a couple longshoremen that ran the union out in San Francisco for the shipping docks. Long time ago that's all over with now
