Well you hit my MKX this time with the fob impression in the base of the center console. It is too bad that the manufacturers have to have so many different configurations. You also have the actual fob I use with its very inconvenient way to open it. Great educational video.
Thank you for the video! I have a Lincoln 2011 MXK and lately it doesn’t recognize my remote. I haven’t been able to get in my car, although your video it help with. I did what you suggested and replaced the battery but that didn’t work. Do you have any further suggestions? I would so a appreciate it. Thank you so much. Frank
There is never a need to resync the fob. I'm guessing it stopped working and it was assumed the battery needed replacing. If the fob has stopped working and it now has a new battery (properly installed!), the fob is damaged or shorted...

First, you're welcome. Second, make sure the backing was peeled off the new battery and that it is installed right side up...
