Just hearing everybody say “ I couldn’t do this alone” just adds an emphasis on the hardship of single motherhood. Women who have assistance with their husbands can confess this so wild. Just so important to be intentional about bringing life into the world.

I had the shakes when my first son was 2 wks old. I was producing loads of milk and nursing non stop!! My body went into shock and I felt aches in my skin and was freezing cold even tho my house was hot!! My mother in love knew exactly what I needed to do. Thank God she was there!!!

This really blessed me. I'm just about 7 months and some days are tougher than others as a first-time mom. But hearing this reminds me I'm not the only one (and also insight on what I have never heard of before when it comes to giving birth and even post partum). I know there's more but learning a lot so far and it's great info. Thanks so much for sharing and for the transparency! ❤

Great advice after my third pregnancy (during the pandemic) I was terrified about catching Covid or one of my family members getting Covid that all that anxiety took over me bad. I went to see my mom after I had my baby and she actually noticed that I had several signs of postpartum depression I called my doctor and got some great referrals and joined a group online via zoom and met several amazing women who were going through postpartum as well it was great to have that community of women and share my feelings with and I no longer felt alone

thanks so much for this conversation. I am a new mom and my son is only 3 weeks old. I am a person who loves structure, being on the go, working, and just taking care of myself. In the last three weeks,m I have done none of that. All of my attention and care have gone to my son and I just feel, empty. I am tired and probably need a break but I do not even know what that would look like. The things I use to do, I either can't because i am healing from a c-section or I just do not have time. I really want to create a new me, but I think I am putting pressure on myself to do so, so I can feel better. But like you all said, it is a process. So I think i have some surrendering to do. anywho, because this is long, lol, thank you for the conversation and i will continue to watch.

No one told me my nipples had the potential of bleeding and scabbing up when breastfeeding. Thankfully God sent wisdom through my friends sister who was a nurse that came over late at night to help me soothe my nipples and properly latch.
Who knew you had to train your child how to nurse !!??
