    • @Michelle-pn9xt
      @Michelle-pn9xt 5 лет назад +5

      They are not bragging. They are talking. They would not be capable of doing all of that. Their mom is an adult. Most adults clean their own homes.

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 4 года назад +4

      Why should they? They aren't bragging, they're telling what Mom is like; it's entirely likely the mother did not want her daughters to touch anything--that's the mindset of many hoarders, that something they perceive to be of "value" is going to be disposed of if someone else handles it--so they would not be permitted to do any cleaning at all.

He or she is just given a clean canvas to start the mess all over again. I would love to see this same house about 5 years after the clean up.

    I one time had a roommate like this. It happened all before Facebook, etc when I agreed to rent a room from them. When I walked in, it looked like a dumpster. I throw away 8 huge bags of trash from the living room alone. It took me 2 weeks to make the common living space clean again. All I did between work was cleaning that space. It was ridiculous.

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 4 года назад +1

      Mom is a hoarder; hoarders do not like for others to handle their stuff, fearing that something they perceive to be of "value" will be thrown away. You cannot blame the girls for what their ADULT mother did/does, and they were not showing any kind of pride. They were just two young women explaining the what and why of their mother's bizarre choice of how to live.
      If anyone "should" help her clean it, it should be you--you're obviously and clearly so wonderful and perfect, you'd be able to show everyone around you just how the house "should" be cleaned, and how it "should" be maintained, and how the daughters "should" interfere in something their mother wants them to leave alone.

    We rented a beautiful furnished home to Claire Rembis and William Rembis from Michigan. When their lease was up, they gave me every possible excuse why they could not move out--even threatened me with discrimination, had the housing authority contact me, and pointed me to the online story where they sued another landlord. We finally got them out without eviction, but the house looked like this one! Charm can fade fast once they are in the house.

    I agree, there are many reasons people give up their daily chores and end up sunken into stuff. Depression, muscle weakness, bereavement, trauma, etc. It's so easy to judge from the appearances. Whoever makes these harsh comments, might even prove to have tidy homes but their hearts aren't clean. Whatever they write says more about their own messy state of mind than the values of those with the clutter. At least you got courage to ask for help in a creative way, inspiring too. Good luck dear!
