The real tea is that in being a vocal queen you don't have to just kill high notes but you have to own the song too specially in emotions. And that's what other artists are lacking and where Rosé is best at, giving emotions, and owning the song.

Rosé might not be the "best" singer in the world 'cuz she's using a different technique (that others may not used to) , but there is just something in her singing style that will directly hit your emotions. And her voice is very distinct as well. Maybe these are some of the reasons as to why she's the only one who passed the YG audition in Australia out of all applicants. ✨
There are definitely not enough moments where we can hear the kpop idols sing alone on stage without dancing, effects and all that stuff. I think they are forcing her to sing higher because her voice sounds really strained when singing compared to other performances outside of BLACKPINK songs. But when I listen to her sing solo. She makes me cry she can interpret song differently depending on what she felt. I remember running into that that "Kpop Vocal Analysis" website a number of months ago, and getting incredibly miffed at some of their breakdowns of some of my favorite vocalists' voices and techniques. Like, they pegged the two main vocalists from VIXX - my second bias group right after BTS - as "weak" and "average," respectively, and my first knee-jerk reaction was "BINCH ARE YOU *DEAF* I WILL FITE YOU" before I got ahold of myself. I realize that everyone has different opinions about what and what does not sound good when it comes to pop music, but come on, man. When I brought the whole matter up to my own vocal instructor, she told me that when it comes to pop music, "classical" technique doesn't really mean a whole lot; as long as it sounds good, and the singers aren't actively hurting themselves, then it's all good, and it's nice to get some confirmation on that front from another source who knows their stuff and what they're talking about. :) I'm really happy that you liked Rose's voice, too! I saw a lot of people harping on her in the comments for her KoMS videos, and it annoyed me a lot, because I always thought she sounded great. And hey, since you're asking for some suggestions for new material to react to, here are some different groups that I think you'd enjoy, both from a vocal and concept standpoint: *VIXX* - guy group, 6 members, debuted in 2012 under Jellyfish Entertainment, known for their unique and diverse range of concepts and their theatrical, story-based choreography. And IMHO, they have one of the most varied and talented groups of vocalists in Kpop. I suggest starting out with their Conception Trilogy - a group of 3 MVs released in 2016 with a Greek mythology concept that are all connected to each other, starting with “Dynamite,” followed by “Fantasy,” and ending with “The Closer” - and then moving on to “Voodoo Doll,” “Shangri La,” or “Beautiful Liar” if you liked what you saw. *B.A.P.* - guy group, 6 members, debuted in 2012 under TS Entertainment, known for their powerful music and choreography, and lyrics that focus more on societal issues and social commentary. Great MVs to start with are "Warrior," "One Shot," and "Wake Me Up." *BTOB* - guy group, 7 members, debuted in 2017 under Cube Entertainment, also has one of the best groups of vocalists in Kpop, in my and a lot of other people's opinion. One of their rappers also hails from Chicago, which means a lot of rapping in English in most of their songs, which is a plus. ;) "It's Okay (Dance Ver.)," "Movie," and "I'll Be Your Man" are all solid releases from them. *KARD* - co-ed group, 2 boys, 2 girls, debuted in 2017 under DSP Media, worth checking out just for the sheer novelty of an actual co-ed group in Kpop, but the quality of their music can’t be disputed either. The boys usually rap, and the girls usually sing, but with each new comeback, they keep showcasing different aspects of their vocal ranges, which really gives their music a very unique sound. “Don’t Recall,” “Hola Hola,” or “You In Me” are good MVs to start out with for this group. *Red Velvet* - girl group, 5 members, debuted in 2014 under SM Entertainment, known for their very quirky, odd concepts and beautiful, versatile voices that can cover a wide range of music styles. I know you’ve reacted to one of their songs already and didn’t seem to much like it, but I encourage you to give them another chance, because they have some really great releases, such as, "One of These Nights" and "Dumb Dumb." *Seventeen* - guy group, 13 members, debued in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment, kings of synchronized choreography, write and compose most of their own music, must be seen to be believed. Would recommend reacting to “Clap” or “Don’t Wanna Cry” for your first exposure to them. *Akdong Musician (or “AKMU” for short)* - brother-sister duo, debuted in 2014 under YG Entertainment, well known for writing and producing all their own songs, and their charming vocal arrangements and harmonies; the sister, Soohyun, has one of my personal favorite vocal timbres in Kpop, period. I’d recommend "How People Move," "Re-Bye," or "Dinosaur" to start out with. *F.T. ISLAND* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2007 under FNC Entertainment, more Krock than Kpop, they’re an actual band that writes and compose their own music, and I suggest checking out “Take Me Now,” “Pray,” or “Wind” if you want an idea of what they’re capable of. *Day6* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment, another band who writes all their own songs, and while they have more of a pop rock sound than F.T. ISLAND, they’re really incredible musicians in their own right. I recommend checking out their MVs for “Letting Go,” “I Wait,” or “Hi Hello,” and seeing what you think of them. *Mamamoo* - girl group, 4 members, debuted in 2014 under Rainbow Bridge World, their music has an incredibly rich and full sound, and every single member can sing extremely well, even their designated rapper. They fall very much outside the norm for girl groups in Kpop, both in terms of looks and in the type of music they generally release. Some of my favorites of theirs include “Piano Man,” “Yes I Am,” and “Paint Me.” *Vromance* - guy group, 4 members, debuted in 2016 under Rainbow Bridge World, Mamamoo’s “little brother group,” they just have 3 singles out right now, but everything they’ve put out so far has been amazing and their vocals are no joke. I’d recommend starting out with “She.” *HISTORY* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2013 under LOEN Entertainment, extremely underrated but had a couple fantastic concepts before they finally disbanded early last year after their oldest member enlisted in the military. Their MVs for "Psycho," "Queen," and "Dreamer" are definitely my favorite releases from them. I hope you find these suggestions helpful! Have a great day. ^v^/
She just sings in two different ways... in some covers and bp's songs she sounds more nasal and less supported but I think she is a good singer. She just deserves a better coach and technique to make her reach full potential (which unfortunately I don't think is happening right now in YG)
She is extrely good at singer its not cause thechnique she doesnt have good stamina so when she dances it is harder for her to sing. You can even see she doesnt have lots of stamina
Voices does change but Rosé's real voice is actually really deep like in this u can hear her voice get deep when she hits her high notes and on that other singing show she was on, the sadder song thingy her voice went deep also on a vlive she was talking hell of deep and than when the members said the camera was on she switched her voice to cutesy but it's not her fault yg needs to give her better coaches.
+Ricky Manalon , Seulgi and Joy have unique voices but they have a hugeee tendency to sing through their nose (nasally) and it can sound annoying. They can sing, but being unique doesnt make you a good singer

jisoo's the whole package in blackpink imo she's truly underrated in that group. she has a stable, powerful voice, she can rap intensely, she has improved on her dancing and is on par with the other members in that area and is a damn great visual (they all are tho)
Honestly rapping & spitting out words is different. she just spitted out words during her D4 rap. She didn't have any control of rythm & she literally just mumbled the last few words

people are saying that her company is making her use a “fake voice” and that her voice isnt as good as it used to be. but i personally dont think so. for all we know it could be a stylistic choice and i personally love her voice much better now then before she debuted. its kinda the same thing with ariana grande. if you listen to her when she was a teenager she sings in a very different tone than she does now but it is because thats the style shes going for. i dont know that much about it but i think good singers can change the style of their singing and still remain stable which rosé does. idk i just love her voice and shes my bias. does anyone agree lol
Anna, to be honest I don't agree with you at all. I think they are forcing her to sing higher because her voice sounds really strained when singing compared to other performances outside of BLACKPINK songs.

But when I listen to her sing solo. She makes me cry she can interpret song differently depending on what she felt. I am SO GLAD I stumbled across your channel, dude, you have no idea. It's so nice to be able to hear a different opinion from a professional vocalist about Kpop singers and their respective talents. I remember running into that that "Kpop Vocal Analysis" website a number of months ago, and getting incredibly miffed at some of their breakdowns of some of my favorite vocalists' voices and techniques. Like, they pegged the two main vocalists from VIXX - my second bias group right after BTS - as "weak" and "average," respectively, and my first knee-jerk reaction was "BINCH ARE YOU *DEAF* I WILL FITE YOU" before I got ahold of myself. I realize that everyone has different opinions about what and what does not sound good when it comes to pop music, but come on, man. When I brought the whole matter up to my own vocal instructor, she told me that when it comes to pop music, "classical" technique doesn't really mean a whole lot; as long as it sounds good, and the singers aren't actively hurting themselves, then it's all good, and it's nice to get some confirmation on that front from another source who knows their stuff and what they're talking about. :)
I'm really happy that you liked Rose's voice, too! I saw a lot of people harping on her in the comments for her KoMS videos, and it annoyed me a lot, because I always thought she sounded great. And hey, since you're asking for some suggestions for new material to react to, here are some different groups that I think you'd enjoy, both from a vocal and concept standpoint:
*VIXX* - guy group, 6 members, debuted in 2012 under Jellyfish Entertainment, known for their unique and diverse range of concepts and their theatrical, story-based choreography. And IMHO, they have one of the most varied and talented groups of vocalists in Kpop. I suggest starting out with their Conception Trilogy - a group of 3 MVs released in 2016 with a Greek mythology concept that are all connected to each other, starting with “Dynamite,” followed by “Fantasy,” and ending with “The Closer” - and then moving on to “Voodoo Doll,” “Shangri La,” or “Beautiful Liar” if you liked what you saw.
*B.A.P.* - guy group, 6 members, debuted in 2012 under TS Entertainment, known for their powerful music and choreography, and lyrics that focus more on societal issues and social commentary. Great MVs to start with are "Warrior," "One Shot," and "Wake Me Up."
*BTOB* - guy group, 7 members, debuted in 2017 under Cube Entertainment, also has one of the best groups of vocalists in Kpop, in my and a lot of other people's opinion. One of their rappers also hails from Chicago, which means a lot of rapping in English in most of their songs, which is a plus. ;) "It's Okay (Dance Ver.)," "Movie," and "I'll Be Your Man" are all solid releases from them.
*KARD* - co-ed group, 2 boys, 2 girls, debuted in 2017 under DSP Media, worth checking out just for the sheer novelty of an actual co-ed group in Kpop, but the quality of their music can’t be disputed either. The boys usually rap, and the girls usually sing, but with each new comeback, they keep showcasing different aspects of their vocal ranges, which really gives their music a very unique sound. “Don’t Recall,” “Hola Hola,” or “You In Me” are good MVs to start out with for this group.
*Red Velvet* - girl group, 5 members, debuted in 2014 under SM Entertainment, known for their very quirky, odd concepts and beautiful, versatile voices that can cover a wide range of music styles. I know you’ve reacted to one of their songs already and didn’t seem to much like it, but I encourage you to give them another chance, because they have some really great releases, such as, "One of These Nights" and "Dumb Dumb."
*Seventeen* - guy group, 13 members, debued in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment, kings of synchronized choreography, write and compose most of their own music, must be seen to be believed. Would recommend reacting to “Clap” or “Don’t Wanna Cry” for your first exposure to them.
*Akdong Musician (or “AKMU” for short)* - brother-sister duo, debuted in 2014 under YG Entertainment, well known for writing and producing all their own songs, and their charming vocal arrangements and harmonies; the sister, Soohyun, has one of my personal favorite vocal timbres in Kpop, period. I’d recommend "How People Move," "Re-Bye," or "Dinosaur" to start out with.
*F.T. ISLAND* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2007 under FNC Entertainment, more Krock than Kpop, they’re an actual band that writes and compose their own music, and I suggest checking out “Take Me Now,” “Pray,” or “Wind” if you want an idea of what they’re capable of.
*Day6* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment, another band who writes all their own songs, and while they have more of a pop rock sound than F.T. ISLAND, they’re really incredible musicians in their own right. I recommend checking out their MVs for “Letting Go,” “I Wait,” or “Hi Hello,” and seeing what you think of them.
*Mamamoo* - girl group, 4 members, debuted in 2014 under Rainbow Bridge World, their music has an incredibly rich and full sound, and every single member can sing extremely well, even their designated rapper. They fall very much outside the norm for girl groups in Kpop, both in terms of looks and in the type of music they generally release. Some of my favorites of theirs include “Piano Man,” “Yes I Am,” and “Paint Me.”
*Vromance* - guy group, 4 members, debuted in 2016 under Rainbow Bridge World, Mamamoo’s “little brother group,” they just have 3 singles out right now, but everything they’ve put out so far has been amazing and their vocals are no joke. I’d recommend starting out with “She.”
*HISTORY* - guy group, 5 members, debuted in 2013 under LOEN Entertainment, extremely underrated but had a couple fantastic concepts before they finally disbanded early last year after their oldest member enlisted in the military. Their MVs for "Psycho," "Queen," and "Dreamer" are definitely my favorite releases from them.

She just sings in two different ways... in some covers and bp's songs she sounds more nasal and less supported but I think she is a good singer. She just deserves a better coach and technique to make her reach full potential (which unfortunately I don't think is happening right now in YG)
She is extrely good at singer its not cause thechnique she doesnt have good stamina so when she dances it is harder for her to sing. You can even see she doesnt have lots of stamina
Supitshali Supitshali Honey YG forces her to sing a Nasally voice, listen to her song with G Dragon, and you’ll understand what I mean.
YG did the same to Park Bom. If you listen to her pre-debut, the difference is night and day.
Voices does change but Rosé's real voice is actually really deep like in this u can hear her voice get deep when she hits her high notes and on that other singing show she was on, the sadder song thingy her voice went deep also on a vlive she was talking hell of deep and than when the members said the camera was on she switched her voice to cutesy but it's not her fault yg needs to give her better coaches.

This high frequency oscillations of her vibrato sounds so beautifully piercing. Couldn't help but get choked up myself by seeing such a pure being spill her soul like that.
