    Sammy should read children's bedtime stories:
    "There was 3 little pigs. 2 of the pigs got their houses blown down by the wolf. But the last pig was a friend of ours. So when the wolf came around and knocked on his door, he kept his mouth shut, waited with a boiling pot of water and got even. That's Cosa Nostra bro."

      Or there were 3 little pigs and the wolf got hold of one pig and that pig gave the other two little pigs house away so he got away.

      Love Sammy's stories, but I don't think he understands the effect of inflation on prices either. 🤔
      With that said, his point that corruption and conspiracy within Unions and Politics is, well, a good and valid one. It's just his example at the beginning to illustrate that fell flat a little.

I would've told the commission and the family that John and Angelo were bragging about being the masterminds behind it and we killed them for it. Then would've made Frankie boss and sammy underboss. Gravano lived by a code when it was convenient for him. When honoring the code involved living and dying in prison, all of the sudden the codes bullshit. ??? That doesn’t take away from how dangerous he was/ is or ruthless, cunning ect. It just means that he only followed a “ code” or kept his oath when it was easy to do so.

    • @southie3177
      @southie3177 2 года назад

      As soon as living by the code meant prison , Gravano had enough. It’s easy to follow a code when times are good. It’s when shit hits the fan that you find out if you were meant for that life.

    • @robertlopez3672
      @robertlopez3672 2 года назад

      I don't understand why people hold gangsters to higher standards than politicians, cops, military personnel, or those fucks who let people storm the white house. When in Iraq my Lt talked real tough and when shit hit the fan he ordered me to keep driving and leave everyone in the kill zone, on a convoy. I couldn't do that. Now Sammy heard John Gotti on tape talking about taking him out. No one knows what they would do till their in that situation. Anyone successful in illegal activity is working with the police, and politicians that's a fact. Yet there not rats but have their rivals in the same drug game arrested? If you don't know that's what comes with paying off police.

Also if the mob didn't run NYC in the 1980s, the alternatives were anarchy or terrorists. Mr. Gravano wasn't even close to the worst criminal in the city back then, nor was he much of a danger to the general public, people for whom he seems to respect, even envy.

      The one man who cost everything was Anthony Mirra, my mother's ex-boyfriend. He let Donnie Brasco into the mob. Gotti had to deal with the press in his face, and that was because yuppies and Wall Street types had invaded the city and didn't suffer crime the way 1970s NYC did. Computers and the early internet then kicked in plus the organization got so big they let in other rats and were generally understaffed. Kind of similar to many businesses that get too big.
