Thank you for this super helpful and comforting video. He is adorable! His expressions and cuddly nature remind me of my little guy. Meeting with vet tomorrow to hopefully schedule my almost 9 month old to be neutered in a couple of weeks (trying to schedule when I can have 5 days for the start of his recovery.) I feel so much better after watching this video as it helped me know what to expect, what the incision might look like, how to keep him busy, comfortable and safe. This was just what I needed. Headed to read your blog soon as if it's anything like this video, I'm sure it will provide lots of great info and just comforting support from a fellow frenchie mama!
Thank you so much for your comment! This is the exact reason I made this video and it makes me super happy to know it was helpful😍 I was so nervous about the surgery and I’m glad it could comfort another Frenchie mama❤️Good luck with your little guy’s surgery and let us know how it went. If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask!
I love the way you love your babies, and the words you use as if they were talking it’s too funny because our fur babies have their own little voices as well lol

Hi! A month ago, our male French bull dog got neutered. After that, he is being aggressive towards us! We asked the vet and they said that he still has some hormones out of control. We are wondering how long will that last? He tries to bite us and fight back to us! Any advice? Thank you! He is 9 months old
That’s weird! He never acted like this before? The hormones usually balance out around 6 weeks after neutering. Do you think he might be in pain? I would check that first and if it isn’t something medical or doesn’t balances out in a couple of weeks I would suggest contacting a dog behavior specialist. Good luck I hope everything goes back to normal soon❤️❤️❤️
I have an appointment to get my frenchie neutered at the end of march, I am so nervous about doing this bc I have heard stories about how its more dangerous to have a frenchie put under anesthesia. My question is, how did you know what vet would be good to take him to? From what I have heard its important what kind of anesthesia they use, which my vet told me what they would use but I have no clue if those are good or not. I know I am just going to be a mess that day bc this is my baby and if anything happens to him it would just devastate me. Your doggies are super cute btw :))
Thank you🥰 I feel you I was such a mess during this whole process! You want to find a vet that is used to working with brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs and uses a special protocol during anesthesia for brachycephalic breeds. From what I understood ( I am not a vet, just a Frenchie mom) they have a technician monitoring your dog’s breathing the whole time to make sure he is okay. You could always ask in French Bulldog facebook groups such as Proud to be a Frenchie lover to see if anyone knows a good vet for Frenchies in your area. If you want to you can also ask the vet to do bloodwork before the surgery to make sure the dog can handle anesthesia. I did it and it made me a little less nervous! I wish you and your Frenchie the best of luck. Let us know how it went!❤️❤️❤️
@@MyBestFrenchieMuffinTeddy I asked the vet there if they did a lot of surgeries on french bulldogs and they said yes, they also said they would do the bloodwork and he would be monitored during anesthesia. Its just so nerve wracking for me, I am just so terrified of something happening to him. I will let you know how everything went! Thanks so much for responding to my question :)
Hello my Frenchie is getting neutered in a couple of days. Did you ever leave him alone while he was healing? I usually work 8 hours a day and I’m nervous if it will stress my frenchie out along with just getting surgery
I didn’t leave him alone for about a week after surgery but I work from home! If he is used to it it shouldn’t be a problem, however if you can take a day or two off work after his surgery to make sure he is okay or have someone stay home with him it would be best for both of you! Good luck with his surgery, let us know how it went! xxx
@@InterestingILogic Maybe you could reschedule the surgery so it’s done just before the weekend? If not, no worries, I think it happens very often. Just leave him in a confined space or a crate with his cone on. He is probably going to be tired and sleep the whole time. You could also put a webcam or a doggie camera so you can check up on him at work to reassure you!
@@MyBestFrenchieMuffinTeddy I do have a camera in my apartment so hopefully that will be ok! My vet only has one surgeon for French bulldogs and of course they only come in on Monday 🙃
@@InterestingILogic That’s great of you have a camera!! Your vet will tell you everything you need to monitor after surgery and you can just call them if anything comes up. I’m sure everything will be just fine and after a couple of days it won’t seem like he had surgery at all! You seem like a very good Frenchie pawrent I know you will take very good care of him. Best of luck!
This was the most helpful video I've seen! Thank you so much for sharing and helping to easy my anxiety.

That recovery pajama is so cute🥰🥰🥰
Teddy, you are such a brave dog
a male dog usually needs only 5 days to recover as they are stiched with dissolvable stiches but your vet vet used removable stiches
Awww he's so cute I hope he recovers well
He is fully recovered now and doing great!😊

I also can't stand the cinema on my dog, he is a licker, so he had to have the cone. I don't know if I can handle that cone for two weeks.
So cute
Thanks for sharing this! I'm getting my 1½ Frenchie (Roy) Neutered tomorrow. 🫣

Hi, what size gown did you get him? For the yellow gown?
@@isacromwell so sorry I didn’t see your question in time! I think it was a medium but my baby is small for a frenchie and it was a little tight!
My boy was neutered 3 days ago…….I wish someone would explain it to him. He’s acting like nothing happened
That means he’s feeling better😊 I wish him a good recovery and good luck keeping him calm😅
How much did you pay for him to be neutered?
@@Jennaaa63 $275
My boy was nuetered yesterday, he is acting like nothing happened, he wants to jump, play and fly off of the deck.
At least that means he’s already feeling better!😅 try to keep him on leash for a while so he doesn’t open up his stitches xxx
He feels that😢
Did the vet shared why he had the diarrhea? I am so worried now with my pup being neutered in 2 weeks time
They told me it was probably the anesthesia or the stress of the surgery😣 Good luck stay strong I’m sure your pup’s gonna be just fine❤️
