Well, let’s be real here, that is a beautiful song, and he sings it well. It’s just a beautiful combination. Every note; every instrument, just gorgeous.
This man can ROCK IT HARD with his voice, and with that voice he can bring you to TEARS!! And since it's already a day like that, take the brave leap to "Foolish Heart". You have NEVER HEARD ANYTHING LIKE IT!! Just that beautifully INCREDIBLE RAW VOICE WITH EVERY DEEP EMOTION IN THE WORLD!!!
I have loved this song since it first came out. It never gets old, and it affects me the same way every time I hear it. Steve Perry can't be replicated. Love It!
I think what helps to make Journey's love songs so haunting and so much more compelling than a lot of other love songs is the combination of great lyrics, a great band, and the incomparable voice of Steve Perry. He has a way of painting a picture of love and loss so well with the passion and pure emotion of his voice.
Very few things and moments in life give me goosebumps on my scalp. This track always does. Journey is incredible. Steve Perry's voice is pure & absolutely phenomenal. Keep up the great work bro. Cheers!
I am so happy I got to grow up with this great music. They released their Escape album my senior year. The best band on the planet ever. So much great music.
Me too, I can remember when this had daily radio play. I just turned 53 and I still go back and search for 70's-80's tunes. Can't help but remember those days.
This song reminds me of the late 80s era when rock was going out of style. Rock became sad. The Cars last hit song is a great example of Rock Sadness...Strap Me In. You could feel Winter Coming
