But it was the right move to move on from him in my opinion. In a year or two he’ll be in ekelers position and he’s already had way too many injuries.
My money is on Barkley torching the Giants for 100+ on the ground, and multiple TD's both times the Iggles play the lil Giants this season after the GM's verbal vomit on screen.
I'm a Giants fan and a big Barkley fan. The Giants need far more than a RB, I'm glad they cut him loose without strings and let him go get his final bag. The Giants could have easily screwed him over by tagging him again, they didn't. I wish Barkley all the success in the world, obviously not when he plays the Giants but anyone that thinks Barkley running for big yards against the Giants is some kind of insult to the Giants is too casual a fan to bother with.
It’s funny that the giants said you shouldn’t have a 40 million dollar quarterback hand off to a 12 million dollar back but now a 50 million dollar quarterback is handing the ball to him.
People forget the Giants let go of their veteran center Feliciano (who the 49ers signed for only $2 million 😅) and drafted a rookie center who ranked dead last at that position last year. So Danny lost the brains of his o-line over chump change and got stuck with a dumb rook. Plus that o-line has been the worst in the league forever, and they were all injured and calling in Pugh off the street to play left guard for half the year.
Giants are competing with the Jets not the NFC East, for attention, not wins. Giants appear to have little confidence in their own competence. Just like the rest of us.
The Giants' OL was so ineffective that Jones under-performed and the running game failed to thrive. I hope Saquon rushes more than 120 yards against NY twice this season.
Thank God Rich isn't an NFL GM if he thinks the best way to rebuild one of the worst rosters in the league is to give a ton of money to a RB with a million miles of wear on him and not a single full season played since he was a rookie. Love Saquon but paying him what he wanted would have left that team in purgatory for another 3-4 years. Moving on was the right choice for this team, and I don't know why Rich seems to think otherwise.
@ggraham852 also I'm not saying DJ is our savior but why is the move to chase bad money with more bad money? Rich is essentially saying to give out a bad contract to Saquon to justify another bad contract with DJ

What i took from episode 1,2 everyone wanted barkley to stay even Mara I feel like joe really didn’t want to make the deal happen an if this season goes bad Mara is gonna clean house his exact words was I’m gonna have a hard time sleeping without Barkley
the reason why i think Jones is not a viable option that no one ever talks about-
he gets hurt every single year. even at his absolute best, that isnt nearly good enough to deal with a QB who misses 1/4 of the season or more every single year.
But sign a RB that's 26 who will be 27 soon 😂😂😂 I love it, GO Birds 🦅🦅🦅😊
The New York Giants? Wait a second, aren't they the team that is "done" with Daniel Jones? I think Eisen's most productive role is running sprints at the combine.
Lets not act like its this huge inside look at the Giants, they had Editorial control and will make it look the best for them
You’re only 1 degree shy of a PhD with a masters.
This isnt a weekly show like regular hard knocks. They had thousands of hours of footage and cut up exactly what the giants wanted. Dont try and say the giants “didnt cut anything out” 😂 every conversation on this version is dripping in PR more than any other
The Giants are going to be a better team. They have talent at wr, their oline is better and their defense is improved. The real question for me is DJ. If he doesn't play well they will not win.
But what’s in front of Hurts has paled in comparison to what in front of the 40 m qb & 12 m rb rich which makes a difference
Basically they are done with Jones. Didn’t want to reach for a QB at 6.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Rich, but you’ll need to get the masters before you can qualify for your PhD project.
Dr Sasuke Eisen!
Giants messed that decision up a year ago. They should have extended Barkley and they should have franchised Danny Dimes. Now they are stuck.
Lol! hung up on Saquon's age (27). They signed Devin Singletary who come start of this years season will be 27 🤣
Probably a lot cheaper I’m assuming
@R17759 actually not by much. The first two seasons. Next season Singletary will have a bigger cap hit than Barkley.
For 2.5x less money.....😂 $26 vs $9.5 million in guaranteed money.
@@NAILSCARS Singletary's cap hit is $600k larger next year despite his guaranteed money being $16.5 million less. Of course Barkley's cap hit is then $2.6 million larger in 2026 and $19.3 million higher (Singletary's cap hit is 0) in 2027. So Barkley's cap hit is $21.3 million higher over the next three years, that actually is higher by much.
@@NAILSCARS Do the guaranteed money comparison
“Bro I have two degrees”
Here we go again
Hey Rich, you need to correct you entry on Wikipedia. It has you with a Masters in Journalism. You say it's a BS in Journalism.
They have full editorial control, and any of this was surprising to people? They're trying to paint q picture, and there's nothing shocking in any of it.
It's literally common sense... But the Giants all do the opposite of what should be done. I'm use to it at this point.
Call me crazy, but I think it was silly to let two team elected captains leave in free agency without an attempt to get something in return. Regardless of how you feel about those players, they’re still talented enough to get some kind of compensation.
I didn't know about the Giants not self editing footage shown. Now that changes everything. Will we catch tampering charges. Haha. Jokes but I am now more invested because the line has been drawn. Jones>Barkley? Really?
Imagine paying a guy $40M when you could have just exercised his 5th year option and the guy will be gone next year for sure and you don’t pay your RB who’s in your top 100 all time
Giants should of paid Saquon and waited on paying Daniel Jones.
I’m telling you right now Barkley hasnt been a pro bowl caliber runningback since his 2020 injury and his YPC and other efficiency stats back this up. Frankly it’s been hard to watch as a giants fan. But it was the right move to move on from him in my opinion. In a year or two he’ll be in ekelers position and he’s already had way too many injuries.
Rich was also wayyyyy off about the Steelers not going after a QB this off season 🤣
You don’t pay the RB. How many examples do you need?
Daniel Jone was bad last year because he didnt have Barkley . Barkely was out and with no line and no weapons he had no chance.
Imagine hiring a NFL GM that can't evaluate players, contracts & trades.
WoW
Mike Lombardi isn't working in the NFL anymore.
I wonder how the Giants hurt Eisen. The level of pettiness has 2 degrees.
How many seasons in a row have we had a Barkley injury, hell....how many seasons have we had a Barkley injury in general.
The Giants offered Saquan two contracts which he rejected. He wanted out
Seahawks
Under looked team for this season
Great additions
Amazing coaches! Go HAWKS❕❕ 🏈
I think I’m the only one who still thinks Jones can be that dude
Do you not want to pay a WR? When your best seasons dont even eclipse Rob Carpenter, how good are you really?
if love something you must it go.
Daniel Jones will not be a bonafide starter again in 2 years unless it’s in a veteran role
Always has & always will be a backup QB.
My money is on Barkley torching the Giants for 100+ on the ground, and multiple TD's both times the Iggles play the lil Giants this season after the GM's verbal vomit on screen.
My money is on him being injured, per usual.
@@paulkelly8232hater lol
@@karimahmed7850just a realist.
With how much talent is on that roster I would hope so.
"Dr. Eisen" would be awesome.... go back to school an get it Rich!!!
Philly is paying a $50 million QB to hand off to a $12 million back so…
It’s funny that the giants said you shouldn’t have a 40 million dollar quarterback hand off to a 12 million dollar back but now a 50 million dollar quarterback is handing the ball to him.
The Eagles don't have the holes on their roster that the Giants have.
What over neighbors? The guy, the Patriots got
With the fact the giants are all in on jones no way x hay
People forget the Giants let go of their veteran center Feliciano (who the 49ers signed for only $2 million 😅) and drafted a rookie center who ranked dead last at that position last year. So Danny lost the brains of his o-line over chump change and got stuck with a dumb rook. Plus that o-line has been the worst in the league forever, and they were all injured and calling in Pugh off the street to play left guard for half the year.
Giants are competing with the Jets not the NFC East, for attention, not wins.
Giants appear to have little confidence in their own competence. Just like the rest of us.
If you pay Barkley then you have the same crap O.line you did last year
The Giants' OL was so ineffective that Jones under-performed and the running game failed to thrive. I hope Saquon rushes more than 120 yards against NY twice this season.
He won’t. He’ll be on IR by the time they play
Kick rocks
Barkley is going to destroy the Giants this year 😂
Giants you say? Different year, same result.
I thought the bears was on hard knocks?
I can already tell the NYG season is going to be a total dumpster fire 🔥 I can’t wait ☺️
They haven't done anything to address that oline.
Ayo TJ 🗣️🗣️ the bots found the channel, clear em out! Send em back to the house of dance
They are delusional about jones it’s been half a decade he’s had plenty of chances
DJ is a curse on the franchise. Nothing can get better until he's off the roster. The sooner the better IMO. DJ is a bum.
The whole hard knocks thingy jumped the shark years ago it's a waste of time
Thank God Rich isn't an NFL GM if he thinks the best way to rebuild one of the worst rosters in the league is to give a ton of money to a RB with a million miles of wear on him and not a single full season played since he was a rookie. Love Saquon but paying him what he wanted would have left that team in purgatory for another 3-4 years. Moving on was the right choice for this team, and I don't know why Rich seems to think otherwise.
But paying Janiel dones what he wanted did not leave us in purgatory for the next 3-4 years?👀🤔
@@ggraham852 not when the contract has an out after this year with a minimal cap hit. Come on, you should know this
@ggraham852 also I'm not saying DJ is our savior but why is the move to chase bad money with more bad money? Rich is essentially saying to give out a bad contract to Saquon to justify another bad contract with DJ
@@pyle332I think his point was how do you pay a person that had his best year mainly because of saquan just to turn around and not pay him. Without saquan Janiel is terrible. Also whether we have an out this year or not is still set us back, another bad season and we missed out on one of the biggest qb drafts in a long time. Just to have another bad season.
@@ggraham852 It's better to just find out definitively that DJ is terrible... that way they can cut their loses and move on with the rebuild. You don't keep an expensive older RB around during a rebuild..
So the Hard Knocks campaign is a joke. If I wanted this much drama I'd just watch one of the Little People franchises. Much more entertaining.
Sheduer Sanders is a more arrogant, similar talent to Caleb Williams and would not last in NYC
