It's so interesting hearing you speak in my native language, vs. being used to your normal intonation in your native language :-) Your English was very clear! You should be so proud of yourself for how far you've come already.
Your English is really good! Keep speaking slowly and you will pronounce correctly and be understood. Don’t stress out and speed up your pronunciation because when someone speaks faster that’s when it may be harder to understand them.
Your english is great!! I love how you mentioned the 4 cats before Soo. lol! I wish I could talk to you so you could practice your english! I am sure lots of your fans would volunteer to help you!
You're English pronunciation and comprehension is so good! I've been studying 한국어 and have a long way to go, but this video inspires me to keep studying. I'll re-watch your English conversation and read the Korean subs for practice.
Mejoo is so cute :) her English is good but she can always practice with Hyuji since we all know that he speaks English. Is it funny that I’m 31 and just started learning Korean so that I can get more from cat livestreams
Well done Mejoo, your English is getting so good/natural sounding and you don’t have a “strong” accent. I should recommend this app to my Omma. Just a little tip: the “b” in climbing is silent (it sounds like cly-ming) :D
Your English is excellent! I am so happy that your English learning and diet journeys are so successful because of your dedication and persistence! Please make a video in English one day with 2hearts1Seoul one day!
i think your english is good enough Mejoo unnie 👍🏻 as someone whose english is not the first language, i think the canadian’s woman really help the conversation with her clearly pronounciation cause i think canadian is more british (if i’m not wrong)
Canada is a French/ English speaking country. Depends on what portion of Canada you live in whether you speak French or you speak English. There are some Canadians who do not know any English at all. When I lived in the north-eastern United States, we would vacation in Mont-Tremblant, a mostly French speaking area ( my parents spoke French, Italian, German, and English) Now that I live in Florida where some Canadians tend to come during the winter, most of those people are in purely English speaking with some of them knowing French. I will say the area of Québec is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a visit, if you want to go. Especially in the winter when you can go skiing, Québec is also close to Niagara Falls, so there is lots to do. 🙏🏼💜🌎
Canadian English is spoken the same way as American English is, but our spelling is the same as the British way of spelling English words. (Depends on the person though, some people also spell words using the American way as well because it's their preference.) It's a little confusing to constantly switch between the two styles, mainly deciding to keep the "u" in words like "favourite" or dropping the "u" to end up with "favorite"; so it's just better to pick a style and stick to it lol.
hi mejoo~ your english is really good & you should be proud of how far you've come! you were so clear and your pronunciation was good. wish my pronunciation is as good as yours :D
Well, first, I have been pronouncing your name with a long e and I learned it is a short e. Thank you. Many words are different in different English speaking countries. (England: lorry, USA: truck/England: lift, USA: elevator) You already know about all the different accents. When the computer became so popular, it was programmed with all the different languages. Of course, they used the original English, British. As you might imagine translating was a bit difficult for quite some time! Even Canada uses different words, plus French, as it is a bi-lingual country. I wanted to learn French when I was in school but my school offered only Latin. No use for that unless I become a nun! LOL My mother discovered that I could read at the age of 3. So she taught me numbers, as well. I have been an avid reader ever since. I did very well in English in school. (Even as a senior, in the computer room, people ask me how to spell words...LOL. So, certain words bother me when they are mispronounced, such as 'library.' So many people pronounce it wrong. I just hold my tongue and do not correct them. Many people move to the USA and learn our English but never lose their original accent. I had a neighbor who was a War Bride. You know that WWII ended in 1945 and she is now in her 90s. After all those decades, she still has a Scottish accent! It has been said that Michigan is the State with the pure USA pronunciation. I do not know how they came to that conclusion, but here we are. You did not mention the café and I thought you and Soo have been married longer than 5 years. It was very informative. Oh, and you are a Home Alone fan, too! Keep at it. And remember that, not only facial expressions but, using your hands can help a lot too. P.S. If you watch Rachel and Jun from Japan, you will notice how Jun has no accent! He learned English phonically. So, he has to stop and think before answering because he thinks in Japanese and translates it to English in his head! Plus Rachel is from the USA. They are in their 30s, married over 10 years, have 4 cats, and are building their very own house! They are happy to have their own garden and hope to foster kittens and cats.
