They’ll never make bond films as wonderful as this one again. Roger Moore had the best films, best women and best villains. I’ll always love the classics
To Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, and A View To Kill are my favorite James Bond movies so far. Heres to you Sir Roger Moore.
That SNL comic relief was necessary because the film was gritty, cold, tense and sad. A girl who lost her parents and a girl who needed a sponsor to fulfil her dream of winning a gold medal.
I saw this a few years ago as a teenager. Think it was a thursday. And Carole Bouquet was glorious. Seriously. Some people I have read thought this film had a few weak points: serious parts undermined by unneccessary comedy, a villain that was not the most charismatic and menacing, although his henchmen were formidable. I liked it. It was a feel good film. I was not around for the 80s but I'm guessing that because socially and politically, it was a dark time, they decided to keep it somewhat light.True, some of the dubbing looked iffy but that it minute. The locations were really gorgeous and then punctuated by Ms Bouquet's presence. All the other times i watched this film after were for her. Definitely changed my perception of French women. I didn't realize they were that good looking. Also, Roger Moore got some of the best bond girls: Melina, Solitaire, Anya. But Pierce also got some beautiful Bond women: Natalia, Wei Lin and Jinx
@@juanestadian8471 I do think that Carole Bouquet is glorious as well, but today, she looks much different than before. I have met someone before in real life that looked like Carole Bouquet. By knowing about the glorious look and the beautiful looking of Carole Bouquet, I've learned to myself that I need to keep myself under control and not get too obsessed because I know, no matter how much I think of her, I will never get her. At least I met someone before who looks like Carole Bouquet and I got to know her, which was a good experience for me.
James: "Really? You sure? I mean, I'm probably just gonna ditch you in tomorrow anyway to move onto sone other chick, but hey if you really wanna limit yourself to this one night with me, then fair enough."

@@hidalgo7604FYEO was suppose to be his last 007 film and replace him with James Brolin but Connery's return to the unofficial bond movie NSNA in 1983, it was unlikely the new bond Brolin is gonna beat Connery hence they brought back Moore for 2 bond films
@@franciscogonzalez1110 it's a three way tie between The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy for me. I will say this, in many ways For Your Eyes Only is OHMSS part two.
@@franciscogonzalez1110 we still didn't get a proper revenge for Bond against Blofeld for his hand in Tracy's death in "For Your Eyes Only" but it is miles better than what we got in "Diamonds Are Forever". I did remember reading somewhere that in "The Spy Who Loved Me" Stromberg was supposed to be Blofeld but with Eon/Danjaq going through one, restructuring with Harry Saltzman out of the picture and two, fighting Kevin McClory in court for the rights to SPECTRE and Blofeld so changes were made and we did, in a way, see the brutal death he was supposed to get when Bond shot him four times. Twice in the groin and gut and twice in the chest.
A big congrats to Sheena Easton(What a voice !) for delivering one of the best Bond themes. This memorable classic is also one of Roger Moore's best James Bond,I love the straightforward spy story.God Bless you all._Éricxx
The way that scenes of James and Melina underwater among the ruins are set to the vocals of Sheena Easton remind me of when one of her songs was used in FernGully a decade later.
We'll never see great scenes like this anymore and great music like this one. Current Bond movies are ruined by today's Hollywood standards. Such a pity.
One day when I was walking in my neighborhood, I met an old lady who looks like the old lady who portrayed the Old Rose in Titanic, I told her about how I felt watching Titanic and that I felt the same watching "For Your Eyes Only" and she said that she agrees with me on that. She said that of all the James Bond films she saw, "For Your Eyes Only" was also be best one she's ever seen.
The final words of the bond girl "for your eyes only" are totally different in the german version. thx to the german title "in tödlicher mission" (=in a deadly mission). The girl says "nur für deine augen" (=correct translation of fyeo) and no one gets the link to the titel..........another reason to watch the original version!
Hilarious how they're talking to the parrot. I wish I knew what happen next with Melina Havelock, after her freediving in this end credit scene. Same for Bibi Dahl, Jacoba Brink: (Bibi's skating coach), Milos Columbo and his men.
Couldn’t do it as the character was in the midst of a lawsuit battle and they couldn’t use it anymore. Hence why he remained nameless and faceless in the pre tile sequence
So do I. Melina Havelock's the hottest of _all_ the Bond girls. First time I watched this movie I fell in love with her instantly. I want a girlfriend with looks similar to her.

Just swim. Roger and Carole had the largest age gap among Roger's Bond movies. The is may be why Carole wanted to swim naked with Roger and nothing more.
For his eyes only because Roger and Carole had the largest age gap among Roger's Bond movie, so may be this was why Carole stated this was all she was willing to do
I pretty much like this theme song but I just can't stand this particular Bond (except for Carole Bouquet's beauty... =) For me every thing in it is awfull...
Best bond movie ever. This film had everything. 40 years later and this song is still relevant. Best song, best story, best beautiful bond girl.
The old bond films were absolute gold.
So true..
Only Casino Royale was any good. CGI Garbage now.
Roger Moore was the best Bond by far
For your eyes only darling. Best line possible.
Yeah that's a classic line delivered particularly well.
For once the 'one liner' was really special for a very special movie. The Best of the Bond films as far as I'm concerned.
Fantasy, adventure, romance and a timeless score, such a perfect way to end a Bond film.

@@ShahidKhan-ke8fe yes, very beautiful woman
@@ShahidKhan-ke8fe The villain in that movie went out in a whimper. Only the best would be killed by 007 himself.

I love Moonraker couse Drax was the best bond villain
no love for Octopussy?
I love how this is arguably Moore's "straightest" Bond movie, and yet it basically begins and ends with SNL sketches
That SNL comic relief was necessary because the film was gritty, cold, tense and sad. A girl who lost her parents and a girl who needed a sponsor to fulfil her dream of winning a gold medal.
I was born in'81
What a classic bond film. End credits perfection
The parrot will return in The Living Daylights.
bond will return and Parrot will return ;-D
Actually that's true. He was in the Blayden Statehouse. I do recall.

That's why the women loved 😍 Bond.
Carole Bouquet will always be my favorite Bond Girl!
vman armand Domino was hot too. But Melina's by far the hottest.
