Interesting this alt timeline led to R'tas "Half-Jaw" Vadum and his ship joining the UNSC Infinity at Requiem. And that was quite the build up for that reunion at the end. I'm curious to see how Jul 'Mdama will fare against not one but two lean mean green machines.

This is exciting, the last part was good but the big ways this one diverged made it way more interesting imo. Can't wait till the next one.
This is a good story. But the voiced segment's could use a bit more direction. The different level's of volume make it hard to hear at times.
I personally suggest either changing increasing/decreasing the decibels, or try to get a generalized volume level from the crew. But im not the director.
Perfect way to end it. Loved how you referenced Johnson's mechsuit from Halo Wars

I was thinking on this what if as see the Recruit Armor as the standard armor of the Spartan IVs with others for CAT II Teams and Headhunters if need be
Likely Johnson as Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps for a time before return to the field or testing out near gear like the Green Machine ADS still with the heavy losses and depleted forces of the UNSCDF at the end of the war plus a veteran Marine the need for leaders add in a war hero likely make Colonel plus as acting Commander of Infinity ground forces from this Cluster but at least override Del Rio plus Master Chief as MCPON is a Vice Admiral in power but never happen as Regret attack on Earth as Johnson points out meaning Chief and Johnson as Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps both have power over Del Rio and his actions to be relived of command but Infinity no shape for a fight but his actions already cost over 2/3rds of Infinity crew but Chief has command experience in many areas as well First Strike need a plan plus alert for more attacks take it slow get it right but the delay of the Infinity for getting Shadow of Intent ripple effect plus Didact never lured Chief in so some time at least
Still if need be Johnson can pull what Chief did after the destruction of Alpha Halo as he operating under orders of High Command thus command over Del Rio and place Lasky in command and keep ship on alert with everyone arm as they could appear anywhere on the ship at any time
I do wonder if Johnson took part in Operation Far Storm and promoted then for the mission as know the location well to later on bump up the officer ranks in the 3 years
Still love to see Chief in a older scar familiar bulk Spartan Armor compared to the Gen 2s same as Halo 3 still with a few tweaks system wise by Cortana to improve as best she could while in Cryo as going by old novel that Cortana still has a few years left
Once on Infinity can augment by copying herself direct copies to augment the Infinity given the losses as well getting AI which were short supply during the end of the war to rare now as everyone almost has there own Cortana providing better coordination and situational awareness as well Cortana be in various areas at once as Battalions now have a AI as well as Spartan Teams in this crisis as well Cortanas for various sub systems even not up to Cortana level better then Dumb AIs at least
