Don’t leave out Professors asking you to feel free to call them by their names. “Just call me Mary” (not Professor Mary).
Yes, Angie. The stereotypes are crazy! Someone asked me, “You eat eggs back home?”. Also, people thinking Africa is a country. “I just came back from Africa”.
To add, someone sees me and asks, “do you know David? He is from Ghana”.
Also, get ready to answer “Where are you from?” For the rest of your time here 😂
Then, favors are perceived differently from home. Sometimes, it comes from a place of pity here. And favors are seen as big deals here. Regular things like sharing your food, or giving a ride, among others.
Then, the dating/friendship culture is another thing. “Can we have coffee?” in some contexts could mean asking someone out on a date.
I think this is all I remember.
Great experiences and beautiful content 🎉
    Keep up the great work!

Even as someone who grew up here I find the dirty white sneakers trend to be quite odd. When I found out you can buy them like that it shocked me.😅
