    Great tutorial! I was wondering if you have any tips for correctly placing trees in Unity. The Unity Terrain tool doesn't handle large numbers of trees very well.

      Thank you:) I think I'll make a tutorial soon with tips on how to place trees and other vegetation so that it works properly:)

    Hi, love your work. It would be great if you provide some kind of tutorial on material blending in unity. Like how to blend grass and road material for a realistic or believe result. Thanks

      When I started this channel, I was supposed to show how to create entire levels, but almost no one watched it:) And then it turned out that switching to environment design and related tutorials was a better idea for the channel:) Because when it comes to "level design", there are really many good channels, but there is a bit of a lack of channels about the environment and level art:)

      @@SetaLevelDesign great job man. If i amy ask, what s your profession? I mean, is there like some formal education for this kind of stuff or self-learned? I am an IT Games guy (studied) and i find such things to learn hard, just bc there is not much explanation out there

    • @SetaLevelDesign
      @SetaLevelDesign  5 месяцев назад +1

      I graduated in computer graphics, and I self-learned everything else:) At university they will teach you the basics, but you actually have to acquire practical knowledge yourself:)

    • @SetaLevelDesign
      @SetaLevelDesign  10 дней назад

      Slowly, more and more tutorials of this genre will appear on the channel. It would be difficult to do it in one video because there is a lot of it and the basics are not only HDRP but also the construction and scene settings:)

    A thing I'm confused about: Isn't the SRP batcher supposed to override the GPU instancing?

    • @SetaLevelDesign
      @SetaLevelDesign  5 месяцев назад

      That's right, but the choice is up to you and you can always turn off SRP batcher and use GPU instancing, and besides, in HDRP you can't turn off GPU instancing in paint detail because detail mesh doesn't support VertexLit or Grass:/

      He probably never did a wind shader tutorial:) Do you mean a regular shader for simulating wind on grass?

      @@SetaLevelDesign 😁 Yes, I want my grass to dance a little. In URP it's not a problem, but in HDRP it doesn't work. Brackeys tutorial also didn't work. So I thought I should ask the master of HDRP. 🫵

      O, man. 😅 Now the shader graph I made in URP works. I changed nothing. I've only restarted the PC. 😅🙈@@SetaLevelDesign

      Unfortunately, unity alone cannot cope with generating huge amounts of grass, you have to use, for example, Foliage Renderer/Nature Renderer or other methods. Here I showed how to do it in typical Unity and by using and understanding these techniques you can create a large area with grass, but not the entire map:)
