Thank you for these memories especially the photo showing Owen Hollywoods pub which was at the Bridge St. junction with the quay's ( the caption shown has it located in a different location) I remember going in to this pub with my father and the bar counter was stacked with half and three quarter filled pint glasses of Guinness the barman viz. Mr Hollywood was preparing for the dockers coming in at the end of their digging coal for the day, when they arrived in they were covered in coal dust black hands black faces ready for a pint of the black stuff I was very young but I remember this clearly. Thank you again for reviving this lovely memory

The awful thing is that practically everybody featured in these images is dead ! In 100 years so will all who are looking today !
