I am going through the hardest time of my life at the moment and really really struggling with my mental health along with addiction. I cant remember the last time i laughed... like properly laughed, i started to forget what it felt like and i kid you not iv been watching him on RUclips for a couple of hours and my belly is hurting iv been laughing that much i have tears rolling down my face. The kind of laughs where you hold your breath and the laugh turns silent cause u can't catch your breath hahaha!!! This man is just phenomenal and is and was completely underestimated. 90s legend! I used to watch you on an evening with my nan after id had a bath and i was sitting infront of the old school fire place in the living room lol wow memory unlocked!! Makes me a bit emotion haha. Just amazing man thanku micheal for making me laugh again we love you and need you back on our screens. People like you cure the world and make it a better place you really do. ❤

I love watching these old programmes - but it makes me sad. You realise how much people have changed. Back in the day people were "real" with personalities. Compare that to people nowadays and its quite alarming - all about looks, less about personality. I miss the 90s

I came across this by accident. Christ he was good. Fact. Saw him in a record breaking summer season at Great Yarmouth once at The Royalty. Hysterical. He got me up on stage twice and chucked my mate out of the theatre. He went 45 minutes over and just ended up sitting on the stagefront talking with everyone. It was just a brilliant night. A top top professional
Absolute legend....me and my mum went to see Freddie Starr in the 70s when I was a kid, and MB was the support act - he got my mum up on stage, had her doing Swan Lake, and gave her a packet of Paxo stuffing with his picture stuck to it as a memento. Brilliant on this programme.....big shame about the whole swimming pool incident, ruined his career.
Barrymore´s timing was superb and the humour came because he gave people air time. Old school and different from the bunch of ego-centric presenters we now have.
I am waiting repeats of the fabulous Michael Barrymore in 2022 , this gentleman is a genius with people and he should be back on our tv screens, there will never be a true natural comedian with members of the living public in memory again , please bring back the genius into the 21st Century

Best of British! It's a shame his name got dragged so much through the mud and his career ended as a resulted. There are funny people and there are people who were born to be funny. Barry was a natural on TV, who had great chemistry with the audience and contestants. These old school game shows were much better than the reality TV shows you see today on TV. You could sit around the TV with the family, get involved with answering the questions and have a laugh. Great times.
Makes you wish there was an episode which was just Barrymore chatting to the contestants, and by the time they got to the game, they had to roll the end credits.
it cant be underestimated how massive michael barrymore was in the 80s to the 90s, he was easily ITV's biggest star back then with this show, my kind of music in the 90s and his own prime time show barrymore on saturday nights, i am only 29 but as a very young child i remember seeing these shows alongside favourites such as gladiators and noel's house party on the other channel bbc1 and the memories are very vivid to anyone living back then.
Give this guy another chance, feel sorry for the guy. He's so funny and ITV could use a new show with this kind of humor, presenters now a days are boring, give this guy another chance and a deal.
I think his wife was his anchor, and he went off the rails without her. The cocaine use didn't help. Nowadays game shows aren't for anybody to apply. They have been taken over to keep forcing talentless celebs in our faces to help dumb down society.
I used to love this programme. I’d be happy to see Barrymore on tv again. Not sure a quiz show would be suitable for him nowadays but I think a good travel documentary to get us acquainted to him again

There are funny people and there are people who were born to be funny. Barry was a natural on TV, who had great chemistry with the audience and contestants. These old school game shows were much better than the reality TV shows you see today on TV. You could sit around the TV with the family, get involved with answering the questions and have a laugh. Great times.
This needs to return to tv ASAP .. True laughs great host ! True comedy .. This is what life is about ! Not glued to phones n iPads etc .. 🙂
Credit where credit is due, Barrymore was a fantastic host, he really did seem to get the best out of people.

it cant be underestimated how massive michael barrymore was in the 80s to the 90s, he was easily ITV's biggest star back then with this show, my kind of music in the 90s and his own prime time show barrymore on saturday nights, i am only 29 but as a very young child i remember seeing these shows alongside favourites such as gladiators and noel's house party on the other channel bbc1 and the memories are very vivid to anyone living back then.
Oh I wish more than anything they would bring this and Michale back ❤❤❤❤

I think his wife was his anchor, and he went off the rails without her. The cocaine use didn't help. Nowadays game shows aren't for anybody to apply. They have been taken over to keep forcing talentless celebs in our faces to help dumb down society.

I used to love this programme. I’d be happy to see Barrymore on tv again. Not sure a quiz show would be suitable for him nowadays but I think a good travel documentary to get us acquainted to him again
