    It'll be great to show your dorm so incoming students may know what to expect.

    so i have quite the dilemma and i was hoping you could help me out,, so i was currently planning on going to the Brenham campus but i heard that its better for those who are going to be involved in sports and that its lonelier, and that if i want the college experience that i should go instead to the Bryan campus. So my question is which campus is better specially for incoming freshman?? and are the living expenses difficult at college station? Please helpp

    • @BrookeKelseyy
      @BrookeKelseyy  4 года назад +2

      carmen flores hey!! that does sound like a sticky situation but don’t fret you’ll figure it out, and whatever choice you make will be what is meant for you!
      I would say that if you are wanting to live at home lonestar is great. It also depends on what you want to do bc lonestar I believe has better associates degree plans.
      Now Brenham is nice for the fact that it has dorms and if you lice by that then you could also live at home next year, but the campus is more agricultural based from what i’ve seen. It is Blinn’s main campus so there may be more blinn-specific organizations that you could join bc the school is bigger.
      Lastly, Blinn Bryan and Rellis are fantastic for if you are trying to transfer to Texas A&M and you want to start building a community of friends your freshman year. You can also do this at the other ones, but you’re less likely to mingle with tamu students and students who are wanting to go to tamu. I enjoyed building myself a foundation personally because now when I move back to College Station I already have a job waiting for me, loving friends, a place to live (i renewed my lease from last year), a college ministry i am a part of, and i know my way around! You also have the chance to join tamu orgs that allow blinn students in such as Aggie Sisters For Christ or Patriot Paws (there are tons of them, those are just two off the top of my head).
      I hope this helps a little bit more! if you want to talk more DM on insta and i’ll love to help you with this situation:)

    As a Blinn student, is it better to attend Howdy Week? In your opinion

    • @BrookeKelseyy
      @BrookeKelseyy  4 года назад +1

      Bertha Garcia Yes absolutely!! it’s so important for you to make connections with other people in the community which howdy week allows you to do. some of the orgs they are blinn kids can join has well!! just ask around and for sure go:)

    Hi I’m currently a freshman in high school who plan on graduating early by sophomore year! In the summer I thought about going to blinn college! Any tips? For a young college student also can you survive without a car?

    • @BrookeKelseyy
      @BrookeKelseyy  4 года назад

      Hi Johana!! First of all would love to say how freaking cool that is. Your determination to graduate early and start college way sooner than most is really inspiring! Is there a certain reason you are wanting to do so? I would love to hear more of your story!
      Second of all, I would 100% suggest you doing Blinn classes in the summer. I am actually planning on doing the same this upcoming summer as well. What classes are you planning on taking? What university are you wanting to go to, if one at all? I would just make sure that you take classes at Blinn that will transfer to the degree and university you want to go to.
      Tips wise, I have a few! What kind of specific tips would you like to get advise on? For the car thing, it is totally doable. I know some freshman this year who go to Blinn and live in Bryan without a car. Sure, a car does make things a lot easier, but it is totally not necessary. Depending on the university and town that the university is in some places may be easier to live without a car than others. Brazos county around Texas A&M and Blinn College has a really great bus system. Most apartments in College Station and Bryan are on that bus route, so it makes life a little easier. In a bigger city school, it is super easy because you mainly walk everywhere in the city anyways.
      Please let me know if I can help in any other way. Keep being your amazing self!! 💕

      @@BrookeKelseyy THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AND THANK YOU FOR THE WELCOMING PRESENCE! Also I would love to come to Blinn either doing the summer or the start of August! I really have my plan set for college! Also the reason why I want to go to college is to get away from my toxic household and most importantly somewhat be a young independent student. I though about going to the college for 2 years! But sadly I rather not transfer since University doesn’t really have my interest! Blinn definitelyyyy do though!! Honestly I plan on taking 3/4 classes and I still haven’t decided! Also I already have planned my source of income through campus jobs, scholarships that will not only pay for my school entirely but also pay me in pocket like grants! Make friends, have that safe fun college experience! I have took everything like a grain of salt!!! Also if you have a full ride scholarship/grant a could it pay housing -room for ex: Wheeler hall because that’s the first housing I have seen on the internet! The video really helped! I thought about walking, skating, and taking bus/uber for transportation purposes! Do you apply for scholarships first or college first I’m really struggling with that! Thank you for the reply it really made my night 🥺🙏🏽🦋

    i loved this video!! but i was wondering, what is the application process for this school like and is it guaranteed that i could get into this school or is it like applying to any university?

    • @BrookeKelseyy
      @BrookeKelseyy  2 года назад +1

      It depends on if you take a program or just transfer. There are programs out there that guarantee acceptance, but if you apply to transfer its like applying to any university. Just try and get the best grades possible for the school of your dreams!
