I just saw Sleep Token live last weekend in Oregon. Front row, right at Vessel's feet. He gave me one of II's sticks for singing along with every song and raging the hardest of anyone there.
"The Offering" was their set closer. They're just as incredible live as they are in the studio.
Chels, if you want to vibe with Sleep Token at the ocean, the song for you is "Atlantic." Matt, if you want to hear a Sleep Token song that just oozes sex, you need to listen to "Like That."

We definitely need more Sleep Token! If you want another great song with an insanely heavy ending you gotta check out High Water. Otherwise other bangers are Higher, Telomeres, Sugar, and Gods (which is their absolute heaviest track)

even Im a guy and I can get bricked up listening to some good Sleep Token, put on slightly too loud ofcourse, just how it needs to be.
Agree with Mat, 100%.
While Sleep Token does make some pretty incredible music (instrumentally), I find that there is a bit of a disconnect with the amount of vibrato in his vocals.
It's something that also diminishes other bands' work.
I.e., some Dayseeker songs fall into that category.
And while some vibrato is alright and might accent a chorus or a bridge, I find that when it's constant, there's definitely a part of me that thinks it only exists because it allows a more simplistic lyric and that sounds either lazy or unintelligent, depending on the context.
Instrumentally though, wonderful band.
7/10 vocals, 10/10 instrumental
I may be misunderstanding what you're saying here, but I definitely recommend reading some of Vessel's lyrics if you worry they might be lazy or unintelligent in any way. His songwriting and lyricism are masterful.
I can understand being bothered by heavy use of vibrato (music is always subjective), but I really disagree that it's to cover up poor writing - his vocal style is just extremely expressive. Lots of dynamics, interpretive pronunciation, selective control, the list goes on.
