It didn't work for me initially but that was because we had different Update Policies, you just need to return to gpUpdate, back to the folder "Windows Update" then enable and disable whatever policies you have set

Thanks for this! For me, setting "Allow Telemetry" to "Full" and then reverting it back to "Not Configured" is what worked for me. Awesome!!
I don't have the full option in telemetry, I have required, optional and enhanced

Hey brain! I was trying to do the last part but my organization doesn’t allow me to put it on full. What am I supposed to do? Because every time I try to do a school project my laptop restarts and I lose all of my progress...

Hey! I have an issue, when i go to Allow Telemetry i do not have the Full option, i only have Required,Enhanced and optional
Just wanted to thank you for this solution. Going into the group policy editor and looking under Windows Update, I found 2 things which were enabled that prevented me from getting to the Windows 11 update. Fortunately, I had administrative rights on my computer and was able to toggle the entries back to 'not configured' and everything worked upon reboot.
Finally someone that know what they are doing...Thank you!!!! THIS WORKED PERFECTLY FOR ME after trying so many other fixes and listening to people that have no clue what they are doing by telling you to do things that are not possible and if they were, I would of done them in the first place. So many others gave me the advice on how to set something that the option was not available to do and acted like they were smart because they showed the location of the settings (that were greyed out or missing) and showed how to toggle them on and off...OMG....again thanks!

Group policy editor is only for windows 10 pro version and above, if you are running home you won't be able to use it.

When I click on Allow Telemetry and the the drop down box it doesn’t have 3- full setting. For me it only has 0 - Security [enterprise only] , 1 - Required, 2 - Enhanced and 3 - Optional. I’ve followed all the steps the way that you did it but it still says “*some settings are managed by your organisation” “View configured update policies”

Please help I tried already in the video it kinda worked but then there's stioll an error says " YOUR DEVICE IS MISSING IMPORTANT SECURITY AND QUALITY FIXES". I already clicked check for updated but still same error.
I think I have this problem with the smart screen. There are no policies set, but internet navigation behavior is still under company policy somehow (this is my personal PC, I logged into company account just once to do some work, then unlogged). What policies do I need to reset like that?
if you press windows +r and type in cmd and press then shift + ctrl+ enter ---> you will get a admin cmd console (Systeme32) ;)

Just so you know, you might want Telemetry off. That is what Windows uses to take data from your computer. I had this problem afterrunning a Tronscan, which turns off a lot of settings for privacy, and cleans your drive of malware, among other things. Unfortunately, turning off these features leads to a few incompatibility problems. Transcan is great though!

Under "Require Sign-In"
Windows Hello is preventing some options from being shown (in red)
(Every Time is greyed out)
Will your solution fix this? Or is there another method since I do not see this error in Windows Update or anywhere else in the various modules.
It is a personal laptop not connected to anything else.
For what it's worth, I am having problems using Biometrics/fingerprint with my Dashlane password manager and I am wondering if this is causing the problem. My fingerprint scanner is working upon laptop start-up.

I DID IT!! FIRST OF ALL FOR ME THE STUPID MESSAGE WAS ON THE UPDATE WINDOWS TAB, THEREFORE THIS FIX IS ONLY IF THE MESSAGE DISPLAYS THERE! OK so for me it worked by using the registry editor. You can do that by typing regedit in the RUN box and there you will have to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate , there if you find any key under WindowsUpdate key, delete it. Also check in right-side panel, if you find any DWORD, String, etc, delete it. Restart your pc and when you go to SETTINGS - UPDATE & SECURITY the message MIGHT STILL BE THERE, just press CHECK FOR UPDATES and it will GO AWAY!! Hope anyone will find helpful in the future!

Didnt work for me. I have windows 10 pro, did the first part and success. But went to check Diagnostics and Feedback in Privacy, and saw a note in yellow that the settings are managed by your organization. Also cant change from basic to optional under diagnostic data. Help?
I did everything step by step but the error is still there :( mine has Disable check for updates by user and Set automatic update options on policies set on device. Please help. I cant install softwares due to my OS being outdated :((

Not only that I wanted it to relieve my organization from controlling my laptop, for example, there's an application on my taskbar which I click to exit but it just minimizes and stays open on my taskbar, can you help me with this, please?

installed Kaspersky Total Security (KTS) as antivirus to my Windows 11 Home operating system (Version21H2, Build 22000.526) in Beta Channel. But in the ‘Privacy & Security’ under Settings, I find that the Diagnostic data is permanently turned off (screenshot enclosed). It is saying “Your organization prevents sending diagnostic data to Microsoft”. It is also telling to “leave the Windows Insider Programme”. Please see the screenshot carefully and you will find everything in ‘Privacy & Security’ is turned off/greyed out. I don’t know what to do. Should I uninstall KTS or leave it like that. Please suggest.

This did not work for me. Now in the "allow telemetry" section when i press enable under option there is no "FULL" in number 3 it says "optional" so because it was number three i chose it. The other options are 1. Required 2. Enhanced and 3. Optional. So should i have selected number 3?

This did not work for me! When I clicked on "View configured update policies", it says it's not an issue of group policy. The type says it is "Mobile Device Management". This could be the reason why it failed. When I did the stuff in cmd, it says "Windows failed to apply the MDM Policy settings. MDM Policy settings might have its own log file".
So do you know how to fix this...

It’s not worked for me, I have the file sharing enabled so I can edit my RUclips videos on my laptop. Does that effect this by any chance?
To every who has tried all methods but still can't get rid of it. I have been working on this problem for a few days. I have tried all kinds of methods but none of them has worked. Finally I figured out. Just go to Setting-->Accounts-->Access work or school and delete one or more "work or school account" connects (in my case, it was my daughter's school account). Problem solved.
