I just bought this and to get a fine powder after a few pulses I use a hand strainer to sift out the coarse bits and then return them to the machine to grind again.

The Simple Mom: Does this work for grinding nuts like almonds which are strong. Some brands and models have 3 jars small and large size for multi purpose like making dosa or idly batter and for ginger garlic paste and also grinding spices like chilli powder etc. My main reason is to grind almonds to paste along with ginger garlic paste. Is there any other model for this multi usage. Thanks in advance.

Hi did you ever tried to grind soaked Rice and Urad dhal for dosa preparation.

I have never tried it but according to my opinion and the way I use it for multiple purposes I think it will work but make sure you use enough water to grind it and use the grinder container which has 3 blades because 2 blade container will not work if you are planning to buy and gona use more often for dosa batter then you should buy some other grinder which can hold more quantity coz spice grinder containers are very small if you need to make more batter. I bought this product in December, and I was happy with it for 3 months. However the grinder bowl is not working now, and the blade has separated. I cannot get it to reconnect to the base. I am very disappointed

Hi Kimberly, check on Amazon if they are selling separately. Other than that have no idea. Sorry.😕
just put a small freezer bag over the metal bowl before you put the clear lid on, it saves cleaning the cover and you can still see what's happening inside, it also stops the fine dust from getting out and you can take both the bag and bowl off then upend the contents straight into the bag. I use ziplock 15cm x 10cm (6" x 4") snack sized bags they fit perfectly.

Hi lee cheng luang, yes you can grind pepper corn, make sure not to fill the mixing jar to top make it in small batches.

When I got from amazon it coasted me $29 but now the product coast has goin very high to $45
I ordered this through Amazon and am not satisfied at all just after the first try. The lid does not locks and as a result the spice spills out of the bowl while grinding. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
