What I love about Greg's solos in this song is that he isn't afraid to be daring. He gets an awesome dirty sound going at some points and other points he's crystal clear. AWESOME.

Indeed, Greg said in an interview that while recording one of his earlier albums his producer urged him to just play spontaneously. He did that until he messed up and then they punched in at the next part, since then he said he's been doing all his solo's that way. So an impromptu situation is something he's pretty used to.
