(Not replicate the same thing but just to make the point that they can do something incredibly useful). I have several history consultants and greek actors (Alexios from AC Odyssey for example) involved, and I want to make sure we get the best looks for the time. Yes. When fabric is expensive and/or takes a long time for make, you take the best care of it that you can. Unless you are asking if the fabric needed hemming or was just selvage edges, since there isn’t much cutting involved
Fifty years ago the classic peplos was still being worn on a daily basis by girls in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. While I give the model A for effort, those Moroccan girls wore it much more stylishly and naturally. Photographs of them can be seen in at least one National Geographics afticle of the time.

Well a Chiton is easier to sew and there are youtube tutorials on how to make one just to give an idea
