I felt the power & the mana that exuded out of Dane Gagai when he delivered his part of the haka in both Torres Strait & the reo Maori. I was screaming in the crowd "SHOT GAGS" & Te Arawa Te Iwi. He got me jacked up! He was electric ⚡⚡⚡ The haka was amazing but unfortunately our performance wasn't up to the standard of the haka. The Indigenous team was awesome & valiant particularly in defence as the Maori had plenty of opportunities particularly in good ball territory but their defence caused the Maori's to be indicisive & make errors. The Indigenous team were the far better team on the night & they deserved a great win.

Fk the ancestors are crying tears of joy seeing Gagai mixing both of his cultures… and him doing the haka like that caused a special pause for both peoples

Kinda makes ya wish they threw this match into the Vegas card to. Cultural eye opener which you'd like to think theyd appreciate. They probably don't get much of this sort of content in the fear of offending someone...🙄

Facts bro. Back in the early 1900s Māori All Blacks came to rugby g league brought the NRL out of debt because they toured the UK to promote the game and did extremely well, smashed all the British teams and did the haka

lol didnt happen like that at all. They fought the british and forced them into a treaty. Maori got to choose between Britain or France. The King of England granted Maori the protection of a british citizenship but also acknowledged Maori as the rightful sovereign owners of Aotearoa New Zealand.
