You guys are really doing it right by seeing as much of America as possible! Its always blown my mind why folks would travel to Europe or other countries before checking out our own! If I have any regrets it is not traveling the good old USA more when I could. God Bless, stay safe.

We went on a 3,5 week long roadtrip from Las Vegas to yellowstone (and back) last year and came throug idaho falls but we did not know idaho is so beautiful! If we only knew then...we definitely will come back there when its safe to travel again from Europe. Love your vlogs btw!

Very cool video. I'll be vistiting Idaho (from Florida) in about 2 weeks. I visited Shoshone Falls about 4 years ago with moderate water flow and loved it. I plan on hitting the others that you showed in this video. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration. Also, if waterfall hikes are your thing, make sure to visit Transylvania County, NC. Hundreds of waterfalls, although mostly smaller ones.

We live about 30 minutes west of Salt Lake City. We drive past the salt flats when we drive to Wendover, NV which is the closest place for us to get our yearly gambling fix 😁 We have a dog too, where do you leave him when you kayaked to the spring?
We thought it was so funny how there were casinos RIGHT on the state line! Lol! Our pup stays in the van, which is insulated, has a fan (plus another fan we will put on her), and definitely stays a lot cooler than a regular car. We will only leave her if it’s cool enough, so we tend to do any non dog friendly things early in the AM.
You are so lucky to have a COOL van for your puppy. I love those puppy friendly hikes and adventures too! Looking forward to your next adventure! I like how you guys give info about each spot that you stop. It makes it a lot more informational. You guys are great.
It definitely helps us be able to experience more places even if she can’t go! Although if it was hot out and we wanted to do something we would get an Airbnb and leave her there. It also gives us a chance to get wifi and do laundry, so it’s not a bad deal! And we’re so glad you find the vlogs informative! We try to make them as helpful as we can 😄
Our first station was Mt. Home AFB and would you believe that the we were there for 4 years and never visited Twin Falls? Went through last year on the way back to WA and saw the bridge and Shoshone Falls (BTW, the E is pronounced at the end ; ) ). Couldn't believe how beautiful they were but I wasn't brave enough to go all the way down onto the overlook......heights and so loud and scary and GORGEOUS!! Didn't get to see all the other waterfalls, so pretty!! Thanks again!
Shoshone Falls is crazy beautiful and you're right, SO loud! We thought it was Shoshon-ee too, but apparently, they pronounce it differently than the Shoshone tribe (according to this video at least, but maybe they are lying to us haha ruclips.net/video/CYhgZbFXgn4/видео.html ). We only recently discovered you guys’ vlog and are loving it. Such good descriptions and photography. As two avid hikers who are currently sidelined until knee replacements, we are really enjoying the vicarious experiences you allow us to have. Also love to see your caring relationship for each other and your dog. Keep the good stuff coming. Only one note: would prefer shorter descriptions of the food. Oh, and be careful of your knees!
Who stuck that porta-loo right in front of the first waterfall? 🤦♀️ The Minnie Miller Falls remind me a lot of Plitvice National Park in Croatia - just looks like it's falling out of foliage ❤️ Shoshone Falls were spectacular too, I can see why it's nicknamed Niagara of the west. Lovely vido and very much looking forward to the next ones... I need to find out about those natural hot springs!!!

It has definitely been interesting to see how different areas are handling covid and the rules that are being followed. Some places have been much better than others and will not let you inside anywhere without masks and make you sanitize before entering, which we really appreciate!

Ahhh amazing!!! So happy you’re headed there! We could’ve easily spent 4 days in the Sawtooths. We’d definitely suggest doing Kirkham Hot Springs (our next vlog), a hike or two in the Sawtooths, kayak Redfish Lake, and if you can make it down to southern Idaho, we loved Perrine Coulee Falls, Box Canyon, Blue Heart Springs, and Shoshone Falls. Crater of the Moon also looks so cool!

These two southern Idaho videos were fantastic. You curated some excellent adventures to showcase. The landscapes were stunning and your footage did it justice. The more I research southern Idaho, the more it surprises me. Just seems like an incredible area. We are planning a Yellowstone/Grand Teton trip for next year…already had to book in-park lodging for Yellowstone. Anyways, it looks like we will have three days to adventure prior to Yellowstone but only one full day for the Twin Falls area. I have previously earmarked most of the places you highlighted but there is just way too much plus there are a couple of NPS units as well. What would be your top three can’t miss places?

I was in Idaho in twin falls to be exact and I have my drone with me and didn’t fly it because I didn’t know the rules about it. But did you have to get some sort of permit to fly your drone? Thanks in advance and looking forward for many more videos from you guys.
Hi! We didn’t get a permit, but just used AirMap to see if it was legal to fly or if there were any restrictions, as well as checked all park websites to see if there were any rules. Everything looked all good on both so we flew it! I hope that helps 😃
Next time, consider: Twin Falls falls, Vinyard Lake, Potholes, cauldron lyn & Miracle hot springs. Plus PLEASE give a warning about stinging needle in box canyon!

We actually discussed it in more detail in a travel Q&A (posted back in a March or April), but the short version is that I (Kathryn) work a full time corporate job from the road, which is how we fund most of our travels/life. Adam has his own web design business too. We also do many money off of our blog and RUclips, which helps a lot as well. We work all week and typically explore on the weekends, but lately have been taking some vacation days to explore a bit more. We hope that helps explain a bit!

We typically have to work 80-100 hours a week between our day jobs and editing videos and writing travel guides, so unfortunately we don’t have as much time for fun as many would think. We usually only get to explore 2 days a week, but even then, we still have to work those days and eventually get some sleep. We’d love to stay places longer, but we also want to experience many places too vs staying in one spot for a whole month (and only getting to explore the 8 weekend days of that month it that makes sense).

Re: 6:20. As a longtime resident of the South, I agree that people here are super friendly, BUT people here are not good about letting pedestrians cross. Idaho may well have us beat there.
Another fantastic video. Got a vlogging question for you. I watched your vlogging equipment video so know most of the vlogs are done with the Sony and a gimbal. Do you shoot the vlog sections in auto mode, manual, aperture priority? Does that camera have a flip out screen so you can see focus? We use a Nikon Z6 for cinematic stuff but the GoPro is our go to for vlogging. Would like to use the mirrorless but concerned with focus, exposure etc. Any advise?
Hi! Great questions! We shoot on auto just to make our life easier, but have been doing some manual lately if the auto exposure isn’t quite right. And our camera doesn’t have a flip out screen so we just hope for the best haha! Sometimes for talking shots one of us will check to make sure we the other looks in focus. But we thankfully tend to not have many issues with that!

I've been to the devils bowl but omgosh I'll have to go back to Idaho and see all the waterfalls. I did go to their sand dunes which was awesome!

It has definitely been interesting to see how different areas are handling covid and the rules that are being followed. Some places have been much better than others and will not let you inside anywhere without masks and make you sanitize before entering, which we really appreciate!

Ahhh amazing!!! So happy you’re headed there! We could’ve easily spent 4 days in the Sawtooths. We’d definitely suggest doing Kirkham Hot Springs (our next vlog), a hike or two in the Sawtooths, kayak Redfish Lake, and if you can make it down to southern Idaho, we loved Perrine Coulee Falls, Box Canyon, Blue Heart Springs, and Shoshone Falls. Crater of the Moon also looks so cool!

Love hunting,fishing(Canadian walleye shorelunches-walleye is my favorite fish)the Missouri River,or lakes in SD, golfing,tennis, downhill skiing.Going antelope hunt in 3 weeks to the NW side of SD.Love pheasant hunt.SD is the capitol of pheasant hunting in SD.You should check out(make a video!?) of the Sturgis rally.Starts in the beginning of August.Beautiful bikes,and people having fun.

These two southern Idaho videos were fantastic. You curated some excellent adventures to showcase. The landscapes were stunning and your footage did it justice. The more I research southern Idaho, the more it surprises me. Just seems like an incredible area.
We are planning a Yellowstone/Grand Teton trip for next year…already had to book in-park lodging for Yellowstone. Anyways, it looks like we will have three days to adventure prior to Yellowstone but only one full day for the Twin Falls area. I have previously earmarked most of the places you highlighted but there is just way too much plus there are a couple of NPS units as well. What would be your top three can’t miss places?

We have! We lived in Seattle for 3 years and spent a ton of time in Oregon! One of our first videos is from that area.

Hi A+K Adventure! Love your vlogs I just started following you guys because of your Sand Dunes videos. Anyways I just have a quick question about flying your drones. I was in Idaho in twin falls to be exact and I have my drone with me and didn’t fly it because I didn’t know the rules about it. But did you have to get some sort of permit to fly your drone? Thanks in advance and looking forward for many more videos from you guys.
Hi! We didn’t get a permit, but just used AirMap to see if it was legal to fly or if there were any restrictions, as well as checked all park websites to see if there were any rules. Everything looked all good on both so we flew it! I hope that helps 😃
Next time, consider: Twin Falls falls, Vinyard Lake, Potholes, cauldron lyn & Miracle hot springs. Plus PLEASE give a warning about stinging needle in box canyon!

Hi Autumn! Thank you so much for watching! And we’re totally happy to answer that! We actually discussed it in more detail in a travel Q&A (posted back in a March or April), but the short version is that I (Kathryn) work a full time corporate job from the road, which is how we fund most of our travels/life. Adam has his own web design business too. We also do many money off of our blog and RUclips, which helps a lot as well. We work all week and typically explore on the weekends, but lately have been taking some vacation days to explore a bit more. We hope that helps explain a bit!

We didn’t really interact with many since to be honest since it was during COVID and we didn’t really go into many places. But the people in Boise were really nice!
Question, why is your time always so limited??? I thought van life gave you flexibility to stay longer and explore. Omgoodness, love the drone footage!!!!
We typically have to work 80-100 hours a week between our day jobs and editing videos and writing travel guides, so unfortunately we don’t have as much time for fun as many would think. We usually only get to explore 2 days a week, but even then, we still have to work those days and eventually get some sleep. We’d love to stay places longer, but we also want to experience many places too vs staying in one spot for a whole month (and only getting to explore the 8 weekend days of that month it that makes sense).

Hahaha it’s a lot of work, but we love doing it! Maybe one day we won’t have to juggle so much and can just focus on traveling 😃

Re: 6:20. As a longtime resident of the South, I agree that people here are super friendly, BUT people here are not good about letting pedestrians cross. Idaho may well have us beat there.

Another fantastic video. Got a vlogging question for you. I watched your vlogging equipment video so know most of the vlogs are done with the Sony and a gimbal. Do you shoot the vlog sections in auto mode, manual, aperture priority? Does that camera have a flip out screen so you can see focus? We use a Nikon Z6 for cinematic stuff but the GoPro is our go to for vlogging. Would like to use the mirrorless but concerned with focus, exposure etc. Any advise?
Hi! Great questions! We shoot on auto just to make our life easier, but have been doing some manual lately if the auto exposure isn’t quite right. And our camera doesn’t have a flip out screen so we just hope for the best haha! Sometimes for talking shots one of us will check to make sure we the other looks in focus. But we thankfully tend to not have many issues with that!
