I came back to watch the beginning. The one grave that had the year 1776 as a date of death. He was born in the 1600's. How amazing is that. He died just before the birth of the USA. Thanks so much
That was absolutely fascinating GV, especially the story of the lady who wanted to be buried at sea….must has been a shock for whoever found her coffin on the beach when it washed up! My heart went out to the poor boy, killed by a horses kick, and those two brothers killed on their motorcycle. I think your right, it was meant that you should meet and talk to their older brother who told you about them. What a dreadful shock..such young lives taken, but in a way a comfort they passed days apart so went to heaven together. I’m sure they watch over him still. That funny plant is called Verbascum or great Mullein…used to be used for medicinal things long, long ago, no longer though, but also has many Nick names, one being shepherds staff, due to its tall crooked shape, but many other nick names too. Mullein is French for soft, so another name is “our Ladies blanket”. Thankyou again GV for another brilliant visit ….Really appreciate all you do. Love to you both! Helen 🙋♀️🥰🦋👏🏻👏🏻
nice vid mate...enjoyed the bit about the burial at sea which didnt quite go to plan......my firm actually offer burials at sea completed just of the isle of wight........good work Cathal🙌
Hi GV hope you are well wow what a beautiful place thanks for sharing so interesting the Graves are so beautiful and sad rest in peace everyone 🙏💐 take care GV lovely video thanks 👍
Was told about this video by the woman who cut your hair in Bridgetown, she is my grandfathers sister. Dylan that you spoke of and showed his grave was my brother. RIP Brother❤
I want you to know how much I appreciate your thoughtful story you shared with us. The time you spent sharing the story with us is commendable. Thank you so very much. You and Sue are an amazing couple.
The graveyard is absolutely beautiful & very well kept, amazing how the headstones are still standing from the 1700s, thank you so much GV, God bless all the souls rest in eternal peace 🙏🌹🇮🇪
I found your channel yesterday afternoon and can't stop watching!!! Its already almost 2:15AM and I am HOOKED! I've gotta tell my 50+ Son, Jon..he will get hooked on your videos too!! Thank you so much
You did a good job reading all of the headstones. Your pronounciation was precise and understandable. And you were sincere. These all make a great presentation. Congratulations, Cathal (I hope that is spelled correctly). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beautiful graveyard GV, so so heartbreaking the stories behind the deaths of the wee babies, young lads even the old, thank you for taking us on another great tour, may all there souls rest in eternal peace, God bless them all 🙏🙏🙏🌹💔😪😪😪
They look a lot like ones we have here in East Texas. They could be what we call Mullin. Most people consider them weeds, but they have fuzzy leaves and grow so tall they make pretty ornamental plants too.
Hi Cathal how are you Sue got me straightened finally 😂with your name and not calling you John this was very beautiful cemetery I am watching your past videos lately and do some catching up beautiful Wexford county did you enjoy St.Patrick’s day.
Interesting to see some "familiar" names. I'm an American (USA) and am half Irish: Family line Kelly and also related to Dooley, O"Donnel. They were coal miners in the state of Pennsylvania. mostly. I enjoy this site very much. Thank you for doing this.
I just found your channel! I have been trying to catch up on serenity Sue's videos when I came across yours. I am from the US but I think Ireland is so pretty. When they bury more than one person to a grave, is it because the cemetery is full or another reason?

5:35 The grave stone depicting a chopped tree is a typical symbol of a life cut short. You’ll often see these at the graves of young people.
Loved this one, GV!! You read so many stones. No hurry, just exploring and remembering those who were forgotten! Thank You 😊
Thanks Janice I always put in a good effort ❤️

Hi Janice and welcome to the channel 🇮🇪🇺🇲 great Irish names you have.
Gv,, please update your playlist with all of your videos.
I have done this already I have told you time and time again
The stone for Dennis Kelly the sun looked like it had a skull in the center. Glad they keep the grass cut. Very cool place.❤️
Are there graves anywhere for the potato famine GV?
I'm sure they are in unmarked graves
THIS IS A GORGEOUS CEMETERY 🎉🎉

Hi Gina thanks for joining the channel. No reason really just that the family want to be buried all together
Do they let anyone who is coming to visit carry and use a brush to get some of the lichen off?
May all Rest In Peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wow!
That’s for the live chat. I had to drive home so listened and couldn’t comment after first .6 min
Thanks Holly for watching ❤️
Interesting my Late uncle's name was John Stafford. It's probably a common name in Ireland.
I've heard of staffords who make bread here in Ireland
Wow...quite some history there...rest in peace...
When there are several names under one stone does that mean that the people are all buried in that one plot. Many say in memory of.
Yes Hazel
Hello OBrien family and Mc Caffrey family from your far away cousins.
