No. He's not playing his bass like a guitar. He's playing it like a 6-string bass. And he's one of the best bassists in the world. I know. I'm the former Assistant Editor for "Bassics" magazine and a contributor for "Bass Player."
he was totally accurate with " what a beast " though not everyones a grown up when it comes to bass .,,. theres folk out there think a P bass is all there am
Thanks for your reaction. Dirty loops is next level shit. Check out their other song wich was released this spring Work shit out, it contains a silly good drum solo among other crazy things they are able to do with the instruments.
I get the impression that you guys thought that this was done live. Thus your reaction to the drummer playing bass and the bass player playing drums. Not so. With that said, these guys are absolutely amazing. Their creativity and technical expertise are off the charts.
You are seeing Jesus' spirit in these young men. I had the pleasure to take bth of my daughter's to hear them live and they are BETTER than their recordings!. The stopped performing for a couple of years when they were managed by David Foster. Later, they got back into performing when Quincy Jones took over their contract. I believe these young men are believers by the way they treated my daughter right after the concert. She was eight and terrified and they spoke to her personally and signed one of her t-shirts. My oldest daughter turned me on to them. God is moving especially in Sweden where they are from. I love your reaction to them!
Someone told a story about them: there was a short documentary about them and someone put 12 beers into the fridge. One of the boys in the band commented: "Why so many beers, there are just 8 of us in the bus!" Christ energy or not, they are not in it for the drugs as the sex pistols claimed to be! Actually jonah studied in a Christian music school for a while, he might be a Christian.
For once? When it comes to music there are plenty of opportunities, don't you think? I'm a Swede too, living abroad and quite critical to what Sweden have become. But when it comes to music it's another story.
At different times, Henrik plays 4, 5, or 6 string basses. The 6 is actually a contrabass guitar, invented many years ago (late '70s???) by jazz & R&B bassist supreme Anthony Jackson. The 5 string is a compromise between 4 & 6 and is now very possibly the most common format for both bass guitars and bass violins...
Hey besim, check out our latest reaction video.....we took your suggestion and we did it! Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching! Be sure to share the videos and page with all your friends. Thanks again. And hit us with some more things to react too
Unrelated side note: Does anyone know if Take 6 is doing backups on this? Sounds like it, but I can’t tell if it’s really them, or Jonah multitracked, and harmonized like them. Anyone know?
3RTracing The reason I ask is they are now being produced by Quincy Jones, and Take 6 are frequent collaborators of his. However, you’re probably right! It’s just DL!
Jonah multitracked and harmonized. I think a choir may have been involved also, but I'm not sure. I think of Take 6 every time I hear harmony on a Dirty Loops song.
Hearing you mention Clark Beckham and after seeing your somewhat less than enthusiastic reaction to Jacob Collier I thought you might find this interesting. Its Sophia James talks Jacob Collier with Clark Beckham. Just a note I'd never heard of Clark before your video but I now know he is super talented and a super nice guy. ruclips.net/video/Vz8Nq-Ho5gQ/видео.html
This is Big Kris....Gary is my favorite vocalist too. We are planning on reacting to his song with MercyMe!!! P.S. Tell all your friends about the channel. We need to get to 1000 subs Blessings friend!
I agree, compare Jonah with JB is an insult, references from MJ and Mr. Wonder is OK but......Bieber......GET A GRIP GUYS! You missed the last part of the clip in uptempo.....this is unserious, sorry!
New request! I wonder if you could so a reaction to the Swedish group called ”Dirty Loops” and their new song ”Breakdown”. It’s a three man band. It woould be nice to hear what you think about them. All the best! Håkan in Sweden
I love how you guys completely miss the point every single time. I happen upon your reaction videos and wonder..... how can..... is this....? The answer is always a resounding Nope
check out Dirty Loops Work shit out. and check the best singer on the planet. Dimash SOS. and you better grab onto something. Dimash is at least 6 dudes living in one body. try to find where Dimash isnt perfect. good luck with that.
If you dont mind me sayin'...I missed soo many of the harmonies...guitar riffs..etc...maybe less talking over the music...not stopping in the middle of phrases...just sayin' ..!!!!!
@@everydaychristian1641 What a kind response ...seriously I was not meaning to sound rude.. sometimes this old GrGrMa. (but a knowledgeable musician) might speak her mind too freely... Again u are most kind !!
Comparing Jonah with Justin Bieber hurt my heart real bad.
Yeah, but I liked that he said “If Justin Bieber ever hit puberty...”! That made me laugh!
Mark Fowler I believe it hahahahaaa
Yeah offensive ... hahaha
Thats a straight up insult to Jonah!
Beaver isn't qualified to carry Jonah's boxers to the laundry!
Three humble guys from Sweden😎👍

That song is simply amazing :)
The bass line on Work Shit Out is out of this world!!!

Y'all are cracking me up! Dirty Loops are are for real! Listen to their cover LP.
JB only wishes he had chops like that, they went to Sweden s Royal academy of music
The chorus has a Toto vibe.
Whole band is toto+MJ vibes haha
They love Toto 😊
My thoughts exactly. It has the shuffle of Rosanna.
Toto was a virtuoso band, just like Steely Dan.
6:54 I was waiting for that Michael Jackson reference ❤❤❤
Bottom of his shoes immaculately clean 😂

Y'all need to listen to Snarky Puppy!
Dirty loops = clean run tone every music...

It's a 5 string!!!! Count people!
03:20 starts
By the way, Henrik was playing a 5-string, not a 6-six string...

doubt is as DL have always been masterful at their own multitracking. But it's possible, I just doubt it
