Chil turning out to have a family was truly the most shocking revelation in this season.
Can't believe Chilchuck chilfucked.
He's truly the dad of the group
The writers casually drop out Chilchuk having an entire family somewhere and the show kept going like it was nothing!
@@warrust he has the body of a 13 year old with the mentality and experience of a 49 year old.
If you read manga, there is introduction of 3 daughters
The Sky Fish, also known as a Rod, is a cryptid. They result from bugs flitting in front of a camera, fast enough compared to the shutter speed, that they are captured as an elongated thing with many pairs of wings. One hypothesis was that they were interdimensional beings. They actually show up in Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, as an untouchable screen blip that you can only kill if you use Time Stop with perfect timing, and even then it's so fast as to keep moving in the frozen time.
JOJO REFERENCE?!
Wow that's nice info. Thanks!
It’s so cool that Marcille kills the griffin the same way the Undine almost killed her.
Her mourning over the death of Sky Fish reminded me of Nico Robin being sad over the poorly drawn dragon in One Piece.
that's the greatest comparison I've ever seen bro lmao
my fuck that scene in One Piece was hilarious and sad at the same time
I love Laios as a leader, he is flawed but he is generally very aware of his limitations. we've seen he's usually great coming up with plans in a pinch especially when dealing with monsters, but here after senshi is taken by the griffin, he thinks for a second realizing they don't have much time, and asks marcille what they can do. and their combined efforts improving the familiars is fantastic
and of course, gotta love some chilchuck and senshi lore!
Not Caleb thinking he knows more about Marcille's magic than she does... smh lol.
If SHE says it's summoning magic I'm willing to trust her.
Expecting plot twists on the most basic level lol
I guess they think sky fish is a literal red herring
@@BelBelle468*expecting cheap plots*
Man, Laios's face when he saw Marcille's creation!😂 (I think I internally make that face sometimes.)
Prepare yourselves for the next episode. It's a doozy.
I love Marcille so much, man. She's just the best.
I can sympathize with Izutsumi's teenaged experience of cringing at something that happened 6 hours ago.
It's like being hypnotized on stage, and then after the performance, your friends tell you how silly you acted.
I think you guys mixed up Familiar with summonig. You can make a beast a familiar by controlling them.
Yeah I read this as not a full explanation for monsters so much as how individuals might naturally replicate the phenomenon. I.e. catching or making monsters in SMT or DQ: Monster Joker
Well she did say she was going to "summon a famiiar," no? I just take her word for it because she's the mage... not Caleb lol.
I've always liked the progression of thinking behind the three familiar designs.
The first is a basic creature with no thought put into it besides "it should fly" and "I guess birds fly I can make it look like a bird haha it'll be so cute". That doesn't work, because they're fighting a death machine.
The second was designed with survival in mind. Since it's based on real dragons, it has all the general evolutionary tools nature gave them to survive in most situations. It works better, but it's the predator-prey situation, where the prey simply didn't have the capacity to escape the predator.
What works is the skyfish, which is designed not as an all-purpose well rounded living creature, that needs the tools to survive whatever the world throws at it, but as a tool for the sole task of getting Senshi, its own survival be damned. It's like taking an all-purpose stick and jamming a hammer head on it - now it can do less things, but it can do one thing actually well.
12:35 Laios: *we can rebuild him. We have the technology*
The sky fish being a nat 20 was actually incredible FRICK I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH
Senshi's pancakes are Japanese style, they're souffle pancakes. Those are maybe 20% larger than IRL ones, they're not too far off
11:56 - You know that feeling when you're wearing your VR headset
13:29 - Then you really get into the game!
I can't believe Marcille summoned Pun-pun to do her bidding!
Sky fish is called rods,
There are "Stand" Controling they in Jojo 6.
"I'm the APOLLO-11 !!!!!!!!"
This is prolly my favorite episode in terms of balance between comedy and drama. They both are so smoothly intertwined into one another that it is truly breathtaking. Seamlessly drifting between tearjerkers and rolling laughter, Kui is a master writer!
Regarding Senshi's age. Some might consider it minor spoilers but the manga doesn't talk about it in detail while the Adventure Bible bonus book lists the ages of all characters and the average lifespans of the races. More on that below.
Young adult dwarves like their former party member Namari or Daya from Kabru's party are in their 50-60s. Senshi's current age is 112 and dwarves have an average lifespan of 200 years, so he's more like middle aged. They will talk about his how old he was when they found the dungeon so you can do the math from there.
Finally, I can call him Thistle!
愛すべきエルフに様々なVRゲームをプレイして欲しいと思うのは私だけでしょうか?
ゴーグルを付けた彼女がゲームをプレイする様子は非常に見応えがあるはずです!
i think that first type of summoning/domination is not so much conjuration summoning as it is clap your hands, ring the bell, "cmon, here boy" summoning
I think I remember near the beginning someone mentioning that this dungeon was originally discovered by a group of dwarves that dug too deep and didn't make it, and now 20 something episodes later we find out Senshi was a part of that party
I'm not sure if that was actually mentioned, the lord of the island mentioned that dwarfs may be responsible for the expansion of the dungeon, but he said that based on rumors that have never been confirmed
Who can possibly not love Marcille?
Ultimate plot twist: Considering their ages and lifestyles, Chilchuck is the most recent of the group to have had sex.
My guess is that he might be the only one.
That's even funnier when you recall episode 15 when Senshi decided to give Chilchuck "The Talk"😂
For reference, he and his wife were both 13 when they wed (a little but young for half-foot who normally marry at 14), and they had their first of three children at 14.
RIP skyfish, you were 10/10. Also Dadchuck confirmed.
Also the next ephisode hits ahrd.
9:44 CURSE YOUUUUUU CALEB!
You reawakened memories man...
I’ve been reading the manga (2 volumes from the finale) and i lost my absolute shit when skyfish came back later. This whole story has been so impeccably set up. Nothing is wasted. Like good food.
Also I saw a meme hit the mainstream a while back and based off the meme and the fact ppl called it “post canon”, I think my ideas for where the plot is going and all the parallels and foreshadowing seems like it’ll result in something very nice.
I think the translation must have been off for the 3 methods or something and there were unintended connotations. Laios modding the little critters made me think they're more like a clay golem.
ETA: also I would love to have that in a ttrpg as a game mechanic! The Mage has a "Familiar" spell or whatever, they get a little pot of playdoh to make into the creature they need at the time.
Was having a shitty day but when i saw this upload it brought a smile to my face
- You lost someone?
-... I lost everyone.
Those pancakes are rediculous. I think they’re Japanese style pancakes? Which are typically super fluffy
9:44 UNCALLED FOR!!!!
i dont think they will reveal exactly how old senshi is in the anime, im pretty sure the manga only tells us that in bonus material and character info sheets. the next episode should have enough hints about how long dwarves live for you to guess at it yourselves tho
Dwarves life for a maximum average age of 200, senshi in the present is middleaged, take note of senshis age when he was a kid in the next episode
SKY FISH!!!
9:44 "FULLMETAL..."
Great reaction!
What is that T-shirt Caleb is wearing Lol
Still waiting for opm s2 reaction :D
12:25 Hmm... The way the griffin kicked with its back leg right there was kinda weird. Felines don't really tend to do that.
Really makes you think why the Author would depict it doing that. 🤔
Dawg stop
@@postcaesar4564 Stop what, and why?
It's a clue. The next episode will explain it all. The end results will be hilarious!
@@archive881 I mean, yeah. Why else would I have worded my comment like that?
@@acesockvims1671 And that's why they told you to stop. It's not endearing, it's not clever, it's just annoying
