The Nick/Monroe friendship is one of the best things of this show.

Because Monroe is man's best friend.
Monroe & Nick's dynamic is part of what makes the series great, they could have just gone for something similar to Supernatural where there's a lot less ambiguity about whether the creatures/things need to be killed, but instead they've made it nuanced & had Nick clueless & needing help to walk the line between his normal cop instincts & that of a Grimm. Without Monroe acting as guide to this hidden world of... creatures (I don't think they've been named yet), things could have gone very different for Nick having to rely on just the trailer.
Yeah Moroe is just the Best Friend everyone needs and such an relatable Character
Monroe is a great character, but I think Wu is very underrated. I always enjoyed his brand of humor. It's been a few years since I watched this series so I'm enjoying catching up and watching your reactions.

For Monroe, he is more of the saying don't judge a book be its cover. They couldn't have picked a better actor to play Monroe.

Another fun reaction, D! and yes, Monroe is everyone's fave as he was a different character from the beginning as he chose to talk to Nick even after knowing that he was a Grimm instead of trying to kill him out of self preservation (from the reputation of the Grimm line) and became Nick's guide to the "other unseen world" when it was obvious that Nick didn't have the usual Grimm attitudes to Wesen (or even any knowledge of)... and the friendship that is formed is fantastic... another great reaction that gets you a CTU from me today.... keep em coming, D!

I understand what you're saying about being more drawn to Monroe. I knew you would like him, and I feel like in the early episodes his friendship with Nick is the main draw.
I think Monroe is everyone's favourite character.
Monroe is definitely one of the most popular characters in the show. I think the credit goes to the writers as much as to the actor.
This is not a spoiler. In real life Nick (David G ... I can't ever remember how to spell his las name) and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch ) began dating in season 2, got engaged and eventually got married before the run was over. They are still married and have a daughter

A heads up, not so much about this episode, but the series in general, and some of the later seasons: there is a degree of silliness to this series, even though it tries to be serious. As long as you don't take it too seriously, it is fun.

Grimm has many episodes, you have to do this more often
Monrow being attacking in this episode makes no sense. While word of a GRIMM on the police force may have begun to make the rounds in Wesen circles Monrow being involved with a GRIMM would not be known at this time. The rest of the episode is good with harmless Wesen suffering a psychotic break. Once again we see Wesen as people and not creatures. In this episode I would have Sean looking over the information about Nick's key. Sean realizes the key would give something to bargain with the Royals. Sean intends to use Adalind to get it for him.
11:00 Nick's problem is he's an everyman. Which leaves him a bit bland. It gets better.
Yo dakara you need to see this there is a show that will come out soon on cw it's name is the Winchesters and I saw Jensen in it as dean my brain is gonna explode you need to see it it's the story about John and Mary Winchester back in the seventies written by dean Winchester it's just insane

Monroe to a Hufflepuff kind of guy. Hufflepuff characteristics include a strong sense of justice, loyalty, patience, and a propensity for hard work. Hufflepuffs are also seen as nice, almost to a fault. - googled
I don't know he'd also make a good Slytherin, he doesn't care what anyone else think is right and proer he does his own things and prioritizes things his own way. He can sure as hell be ruthless when he needs to.

No one touches Monroe. He's the heart of the show. This isn't looking good at all. Goodness. Nick needs to tell Juliet who he is and let her in on things. She's out there and anyone can hurt her or kill her especially now that some folks know Nick is the Grimm. Same goes for Hank. That's his partner as well. I feel like Nick needs more friends from the Wesen world to back him up. Maybe if Monroe had a friend he trusts and is cool with Nick and Monroe being friends then that could work to their advantage. Or maybe not since every Wesen fears the Grimm. Makes you wonder how much is this gonna shake the Wesen community knowing one of them befriended a Grimm.
Just out of curiosity why do react to only 10 minutes of the show when it's an hour long? You are missing a lot! Grimm is my favorite show and I'm glad you like it, but 10 minutes is not nearly enough to react to when there is so much going on!

In my opinion you needed at least 20 to 30 minutes. I do appreciate you reacting to it though! I hope season 2 has more content that you react to! Trubel is my favorite character, then Monroe, then Rosalee!
