Now, I will get to use two screens by buying a very cheap adapter instead of a splitter that they sell for around 4 times de adapter's price.
Does DVI-D carry audio? Typically no. It is a video display interface only. However, there are some computer graphics cards and sources that do support output of audio using non-standard extensions to the spec via the DVI-D port and a DVI-to-HDMI adapter or cable. There are also DVI + R/L stereo audio-to-HDMI converters that take in the DVI video plus right and left stereo output from the sound card to combine them into an HDMI signal containing both the video and audio. Usually used to connect an older computer with DVI output video card and sound card audio output to an HDTV with HDMI input. These are powered converters, but relatively inexpensive and readily available.

Yeah I tried this with my older laptop the adapter doesn't work no matter how many times I tried to extend it even manually in my graphics card..
I have the same exact adapter and it doesn't work with my LG ultrawide monitor at all, it worked with my old monitor which was a normal monitor but with this one it won't work, not even at low resolution. I want to use it as a second monitor, there's nothing I can do about it is there?
Thanks i got an old optiplex dell 980 i will buy the same adapter to conect to my 40 inch lcd tv thanks
I have a MacBook Pro Retina 13inch Late 2013, I tried to connect HDMI port from macbook to my monitor (which macbook HDMI to DVID monitor) but somehow it doesnt display anything. Helppppp
So, if i have Graphic card with only DVi-D without HDMI this adapter works for me?

Hey sir. Does it support 1080p75hz? I've a monitor which can display 1080p75hz with a hdmi connection, but my vga has only a dvi-d doul connecter. So i think a dvi-d to hdmi can slove this problem. Will it work?
thankyouu so much
Hey so I am looking into these adapters because my pc won’t turn on :/ is this why ?? Do I need this or is this only for dual link
I'm a little confused about what your question is?? Like are you talking about your monitor or tower?
