When you think about it, this song is actually really terrifying. Orin is suffocating and begging Seymour for help but Seymour doesn’t make any attempt to help him. Orin is dying and Seymour is sitting there right in front of him watching him suffocate.
It was all for the love of Audrey. He thought feeding Orin to the plant would make him successful and make Audrey fall in love with him. Great production, though.
Oh and he also hated Orin for beating up Audrey, and he would only cause the death or rather sit and watch the death of someone he hated, or in the case of Mushnick, someone who threatened his freedom.
My brother did LSOH as one of his last play performances in high school. He was dr. Orin Scrivello. This was one of his songs. He was great playing the creepy dentist 😄 This guy did good too.
My school is doing Little Shop right now (I'm Audrey II! No, I'm not black.), and at "It turns me on!" our Orin does an MJ crotch grab. When the Urchins saw it for the first time, the were dying laughing.
This was surprisingly good for a high school, and that's what scares me. A tough crowd makes things seem worse than they are. You guys did a great job.
I was there, It does seem more silent than I remember. And we were also definitely in awe, This is FWF we’re talking about. Nothin but immaculate performances 😂
Your Orin was REALLY good, and Seymour was good as well, but here's the thing- Your Seymour is a good singer, AND a good actor, but not at the same time. All the acting talent vanished once he started singing and just got really flat
If you really think about it, the deaths of Little Shop of Horrors can only really be blamed as Criminal Negligence on Seymour's part. He just stands there here, and doesn't help Mushnik when he begs for it.
I like how in this one Seymour passes out. I haven’t seen that in a lot of productions of this. It’s a great touch

The fact that Seymour is even smiling makes him more hate-able here, as it implies he’s satisfied with his lucky situation.
