I don't know why is it so funny to me that before he starts laughing he tries to talk lol. Douglas Sills sounded so good. I don't know how he holded I for so long. Amazing performance sorry if this comment was kinda cringe lol.
I'm playing the dentist I need to figure out how to laugh ! Everybody says to think of something funny, but that doesn't work! There has to be a technique or something lol
You know? It took me a long time to figure out who this was. Until I heard him hold that long note. He does that in the Pimpernel as well. When he played Sir Percy. (:
Hee! Oh, it's Doug! Him and his laugh make me giggle like crazy. And that long note is just insane. Thank you so much for posting this up. It's good to see him out and about and being talented. :)
I HATE how they raised the key for him. As if there aren't enough tenor roles on B-way they have to turn a normally low role into a high one. well performed none the less.
@Shadowflame15863 My chorus teacher told me the same thing, and I had the same reaction. Her exact words were "You are perfect for this role! It's so sadistic!" My response: "Thanks?"
THE BEST ORIN
The best part of the held out note was that it sounded like he barely took a breath before it.
My favorite part about Douglas Sills' performance is that he sounds and look exactly like Steve Martin from the movie... Job well done, Mr. Sills!
Idk about sound, but he definitely has the looks
I didn't think he sounded ike steve he looked a lot like him though *lol*

My drama teacher told me I would be perfect for this part. I don't know whether to feel flattered or insulted
Shadowflame15863 flattered.
Yeah you should feel flattered.Orin Scrivello would be so amazing to play. Your very lucky to me not trying to sound weird lol
He's sexy, has a great voice, a great laugh, and is a killer actor.
Whoever this guy is with is VERY lucky.
Douglas Sills is the BEST! I wish he had a solo album or something. And will someone give this man an award for cry'in out loud!
At first it was extremely weird to see him without all his frippery and British accent. But that laugh and those lungs, oh my goodness!! xD
I love his goofy laugh. It's the same one he used in The Scarlet Pimpernel and it was great then!

Oh my goodness! This is so FUNNY! I love Douglas Sills! Such a remarkable strong voice!
Douglas Sills has the best laugh in the world. You can tell he is having a great time. Same for Pimpernel.
He has a really wonderful voice.
I LOVE Douglas Sills! His giggle makes me laugh!
Why am I all of a sudden attracted to a semi sadist... Lol
Same.... a little bit
This guy is fantastic!
But on another note he looks like the lovechild of Steve Martin and Benedict Cumberbatch
i love douglas stills.

i agree! that laugh is intoxicating!
He would make a brillint Conrad Birdie.
Thanks so much for this!
haha, and if you couldn't tell that laugh anywhere, you could tell that RIDICULOUSLY long note was Doug. :]
@midevilmaiden89 I think every high school Orin tries to do that but Douglas Sills is still the best!!!
I wish i had his voice
@Shadowflame15863 My chorus teacher told me the same thing, and I had the same reaction.

Partially fixed audio
@midevilmaiden89 In that school's production, was "Dentist!" in A Flat (Key for the revival)? If so, that's cool.
Do you have any more vids with Douglas Sills from LSOH???

Any more where this came from?
What does he say after truce?
