I JUST, like 20 minutes ago, finished the frame of my first Trident, so yes, I think this is useful and interesting. Thanks for doing this.

I think this looks like a good way to make stealth or tap changer work on a Trident.

I am trying to use the tapchanger on a Mercury1.1. This idea is awesome but i think I will still go with the liftbar so that no build space is lost. Love this project! Thank you!

Do you think the servos are strong enough for the weight of 4 or 5 toolheads?

I wonder what's the benefit of this over something like the prusa xl approach?

@@mggevaer260 Simpler mounting mechanism, but I agree it's not clear which one is better.
Check out WP-DAKSH for a Prusa XL clone for Trident.
Edit: also more lightweight. The XL mount adds quite a bit of mass.

@viesturz there is also the fact that daksh requires freedom of movement sideways to unlock, which is not beneficial for rigidity... probably.
Daksh also probably needs some space between the mounts of the toolheads since sideways movement is needed to mount the toolheads.

I created something similar for my tapchanger on VZBot, but I just used one lead screw in the center. Thank you for all the work you have done on this. Link to test print on my Vzbot: ruclips.net/video/62X40_3S0Ng/видео.html
