Hi, me again, I'm a bit concerned about my Predator 18, regarding the whole Intel cpu debacle and wanted to ask you how are your general temperatures, because my cpu idles around 90 celsius, how's yours?
Just right now it is 43C. But again, I've got the cooler under my laptop, which has made all the difference in the world to be honest. Link; ruclips.net/video/YQdygM6Jths/видео.html
Do you think this adhesive layer is heat resistant? What if it degrades after a couple months and the RAM heatsink falls out of there, damaging everything around it?
Hi!, I would like to know how your experience is with ram memory heatsinks for laptops. I bought similar ones for my laptop and I am afraid that it could cause a short circuit.
Do you notice if they help at all? I just ordered a Predator Helios 18 PH18-72-924C from Best Buy for $350 off. I asked on the acer forum what the max ram is and they said 32gb, but I saw your video so i ordered 2x 32gb sticks and an extra 2tb SSD. Thanks for the videos.
The 18" model having a larger body, also have better cooling with larger coolers and larger heat pipes, but it is still recommended to have thermal solutions applied on both the SSDs and the RAM chips. As you will see, the RAM chips by default have thermal tape attached to them, so yes, any and all cooling solutions are good for the system.
Actually, it's one of the several proven working methods of dissipating heat. For one, it's more effective than the thermal tapes the manufacturers use for the same purpose. And also, there is no chance for any kind of damage, so it's a win/win situation. 😉

I'll be adding these to my upgrade list. Excellent video! Keep them coming! :)

These are made by one of the leading thermal solutions manufacturers, so they do exactly what they're supposed to do and won't just fall off.
Gut gemacht!👍👍 Viele Grüße aus Deutschland
Hi how many mm are you ram heatsinks?
Good. I was looking for an alternative because i have this laptop but I didn't know if it could hold a heatsink even for an NVMe

No, they could never cause a short circuit, and they definitely help cooling the components.
Did you ever try the heatsink made for desktop motherboard? I was searching if that would fit or not...
They would NOT fit! Too high!
Salamat chief! Btw, are the RAM heatsinks only for one side? Aren’t there four included in the package?
They are for the top side only and 2 were included for the RAM and 4 for the SSD package.
Would theses work on a helios neo 16 phn16-71 2023 i9 13900hx 4070. any other cooling mods?
These are very thin, so I think they should work just fine.
