Hi Martha, loving the progress you are making. I used to billet journal all the time, I need to get back into that. That bag of products in the garbage just shows why I want to get my collection down to what I can use in a season. I am terrible DNF books as well. Have fun on your trip. ❤
Hi Aubrey! It was painful to see such waste and having worm Sweet Whiskey these past few days I don't know if I will continue. The scent seems a bit off to me and I'm not surprised as it's over two years old.
Thanks for sharing. These are such good thoughts for going into the end of the year. I was just saying to a friend that I feel like my to-do list never gets smaller and it’s exhausting. I am a people pleaser too but hoping to conquer that a little more each year as I get into middle age - I don’t have time for caring so much what others think anymore! 😂 Still - I’m trying to do too much. I would love to focus on quality not quantity. PS: I like that you have a creative streak for your planners and art and journals, yet you’re also counting units of wax on your spreadsheet and weighing your ounces of body mist - totally something I would do too! 😊❤

Absolutely yes, not looking at the list really helps. Spending time with what I have and going through my inventory helps too. I've never dreamed about a preorder until now!🤣

There is a woman on YT that has these beautiful memory planners and I always want to make one but I never finish one. I'm hoping I will create space twice a week to play in the journal and capture my days.

I am doing very well w being very selective and not just going in blazing picking up blends in RTS/PREORDER s. I been melting through allot of Scentsy and hope to keep that going to lower my stash number.
With books, if I get started and then sort of stall out then I'll just skim it and/or skip to the end (and maybe google the storyline if I really want to know more than I could get from the skim).
On Libby, if a book comes due before I want to read it, I just “deliver later” (sometimes multiple times) until I’m ready to read it. And if I want to DNF a book but want to how it ends, I just skip to the end, read the big reveal and then DNF it. LoL

I am trying to get use to/accepting its ok to DNF books. I think I've only done it a few times. Its worse when its a book you were so excited for... on the other hand there have been books I have finished and hated - years later a movie adaptation comes out and I watch it and LOVE it then I am thinking maybe I was wrong?... go back re read the book and have a totally different opinion! Just over the summer I signed up for another city's library (to use Libby for a bigger selection of ebooks/audiobooks my library doesn't have) and many things I put on hold are coming in and I keep having to put off what I'm currently reading or moving the hold over weeks/ over a month! I had an audiobook that came through with the hold but its a BIG book and on audio over 30+ hours and this library only lets you do 14 days total - not up to 21 days like my local library Libby. I think its getting to be a little overwhelming when multiple things are ready and I may have to be a bit more choosy and maybe limit how many holds I place. You went through so many pieces of wax for September! I sadly did not! I noticed that in my bedroom one cube has been working much better for me in throw and felt like a waste when I would load up the warmers with either 3 or 4 cubes. It seems the only place where multiple cubes work are in my kitchen or living room... I did the last Teddy Bee's pre order and ordered so much - I'm actively trying to make room in my vendor wax container for what will be coming - I think November is when shipping should be? As you are sharing and discussing wax count I am wondering (for myself even more) rather than a restriction by vender count, would it work to cap wax supply count by season? Only so many scents by season and only so many universal year-round scents? Bc we know season day count, like autumn Sep01-Nov01, holiday Nov01-Dec31, how many scents do we want on hand for that 60days? What’s a goal amount to have left over that has to wait a yr? Of 365 days: 90 winter, 90 spring-ish, 60 summer, 60 autumn, 60 holiday. Like I said more for me than you, but figured I’d share the rabbit hole of thought. Ok, back to viewing ☺️

In order to accomplish what I hope to I would have to have a cap by season, which then makes me go back and think what preorders will be happening with Fall scents (as an example) and which do I plan to but from and then thinking knowing how much I can warm in a given season, I would know about how much I can buy by vendor.
@@Martha_FragranceCorner exactly. And when we have perimeters that make sense to our own personal goals, AND we stick to it, it’s such a feel true good! I am liking this possible approach. I have yet to dive into multiple vendors so I am learning so so much from all of the amazing people in the wax community that make it less daunting. I want a limiting perimeter that I can use before I dive in. But it also applies to the Scentsy abundance I get tempted by that is released. This might just be how I can plan room for a mix of both. 🙃☺️
I just can’t do audio books I love having a physical book to touch and read. Today I started the cinnamon bun book store (the second book from pumpkin spice cafe) and I did get really tired from reading that I had a nap after 😂
I love the feel of a book but it takes me 4x as long to read than an audiobook. My favorite way to read is when I can toggle back and forth between a physical book and the audiobook
And -- I just passed on the Knowles RTS. 😢 But I, too, need to become more mindful of over purchasing. This one hurts tho because I LOVE their wax (my inventory proves it)..
I love Knowles as well. I have been focusing on the preorders and skipping the RTSs. I totally get it, it hurts a little to skip but I have plenty of his wax on hand to love and enjoy.

I added more warmers in my home and it is really helping me use up my wax. Also, going to destash a lot of my not favorite wax scents.
Great strategy. I think it's important to figure out what you don't love and help those scents find the right home.
