I like all the Falcon movies. Old time ‘clean language’ murder mysteries’ like Charlie Chan movies. As far as too many commercials, a person can opt for commercial free you tube for a fee! Commercials are cheaper! 😉
Devil's Cargo is a 1948 American film directed by John F. Link Sr. It was the fourteenth of the sixteen Falcon films produced in the 1940s, and the first of the three featuring the magician and actor John Calvert.
FYI The Falcon's name is Mike Waring all the books, radio shows, TV shows etc... his name is always that. It isn't Watley or Watling as this altered audio would have you believe. It's obviously a gag hack. I've seen one other from this series (the title escapes me) I found it on a Russian site similar to RUclips and it had been done the same on that one too. It's easy to spot that the audio has been messed with as it never seems to properly match the rest of the dialogue being said by the character in question. The error even made it into IMDB which I'm sure impressed whoever did the hack. I edited the mistake back to the correct name.
The photo of Lucky Conroy in the newspaper has been used in another movie from the time period. I wonder how often the companies used to make newspapers etc... for a movie reused photos like this for other projects? If I come across the other movie again I'll edit this comment and put the link to the other movie and a timestamp.
"The Falcon's" true name, "Mr. Watling", is badly dubbed in throughout. One can hear the splices. Hmmm, another mystery. Call Mr. *CLICK* Watling *CLICK*.
I too was annoyed by commercials! So, I signed up for you tube premium for $12 / month and don’t ever see ads anymore. For the cost of two drinks, I have a great viewing experience every time I watch you tube! Couldn’t be happier!

Enjoyed the movie. Had never seen the actor John Calvert before. He was good. Thanks.😊

I was OK with the film until that dog started barking at 4:30. *I hate dogs. 💣

I have no commercials.
Hard to believe that audiences were ever gullible enough to follow this kind of silliness. 👁
