This was my home town as a boy and teenager. Left in 1971. Not the same now. My father worked at the Chad Valley for over 50 year. I notice the old Majestic dance hall. My dad said it was called the Palais Glide in the 1930's and he used to dance there. Can anyone rember it. I used to dance at Terry Heaths Town House. We saw some brill live acts including Geno Washington and other Soul acts. Wonderful days😊
Brought a tear to my eye when I watched this video. Such a shame that Wellington is now a shadow of what it used to be. Thanks Dennis for uploading this video. Nice music too.
The town centre has just killed the market and all surrounding shops, really a shame to see such a historic area be annihilated by a giant waste of money which shouldn’t have been built
What a trip down memory lane l regonised the Midland Red conductres standing in the door of the bus, l use to dread getting on the bus when she was on coming home from school she was a right battle axe she lol😂. Wellington looked far much nicer in the past than it is today.
