    In the 1920s and 1930s
    That was the case
But after WW2 the manufacturing plants boomed in the south and anyone who wanted a job could have their pick
So he’s the age of my mother and her daddy was a alcoholic and they never had nothing
But always had money to go to the bootleggers house and get a jar whick he would drink 1/2 of it (1 quart) on the way home
And then a couple more trips for a 3 week drunk where he shot up the house and raised enough Hell to Scare Satan from coming out
So popcorn and all the other
We had to do this or starve is a big line of 💩💩they do it for the MONEY!!
And Gatlinburg Tennessee is making Millions selling government liquor in 30 proof in every flavor you can dream of
My mother swore when she got grown she was never allowing alcohol in her home and she turns 80 in a few months and as far as I know there’s never been one drop of alcohol in her house unless some teenage boy brought it in his belly to the bathroom and then it was in the septic tank a few 🤮🤮🤮later

Not all that bad, compared to a City flop house with a ornery landlord and buncha strangers, and who knows what you'll meet out on the sidewalk, heading off to work labor for an ornery boss and a buncha shovel-leaners, when you're pretty sure he's gonna skip out on payday.
