Not a rumour: Parker did leave tooling in China. I like that knurled grip.
I wish they made a modern version of this, with the same knurled grip

Great review. The recent jinhao pens are beauts . I especially like the 911 . And the 977.
Basically, the 601 is identical to the Jinhao 75, except for the grip, and the 75 can also come with a black nib. I have a 75 with the black nib, and, like the other Jinhao fines I have, it's a nice writer.
The 601 is still in production, from what I can tell, so maybe the vendor was getting rid of their old stock?
How does ink comes out so nicely with your pens?, Is it because of the ink or the pen?, If it is the ink then please guide me with ink?
I do think that you are right about the Jinhaos. If you look at amazon.com (US) reviews for a lot of these pens, the latest ones will be positive. If you go way back on the older models you will find a lot of complaints.
Exactly what came to my mind: "a Parker Sonnet".
Well Jinhao 75 is the Parker Sonnet doppelganger where the section is a Sonnet section. Here it looks like a Sonnet from the outside, but the section is different and shorter.
Enjoyed the review. Also you have beautiful penmanship. My handwriting looks like it was done while having the pen strapped to two dogs fighting.

Do you have an Hero 901? I have a Jinhao x750, which I very much enjoy. And I am curious about the Hero 901, because I bought it and I am wating for it to arrive.
I had ordered it but it got stuck in lockdown. Who knows when will I get it
Just saw 601A on eBay so have ordered a couple to see how they handle.
In my opinion from the Chinese pens inspired from Parker Sonnet Hero 5020 and Duke 209 are the best !

I've about 25 fountain pens now and I'm too skittish to swap out nibs or even to do maintenance like Josh knows how to do When I saw him adjusting a nib into a flex I was impressed PEACE
