Gotta admit I teared up during this trailer. Been playing since late Heavensward, and this trailer is like a love letter to the journey it took to get here, especially including all the prior expansion main themes in it. I can tell this expansion's gonna be special.

Tenacious finally made it! Congrats on catching up to the hype! Yes, Zenos will be the first "villian" that gets a new job. I don't remember which exact minor story patch he'll get this, but it'll be between 5.55-5.57 pre-Endwalkers. The interesting part I've been speculating is he's been this new job for quite sometime, and is just exploring the depths of his powers. In fact the realization of this came to me when watching your finish stormsblood. He "merges" with the Shinryu, just like the upcoming "avatar" we are getting on the new Reaper Job.

This was my exact reaction a couple of weeks ago when I finally finished the MSQ up to the end of ShB, I waited till the credits rolled, then went to watch the new Trailer and was in TEARS. And the more I watch it, the better it gets. It was like looking in a mirror watching you react and I LOVE IT!

Part of that is also a callback to ARR. The shot of the wol walking against the sun matches the description of what most people the wol as in the early game: A silhouette against a bright light.

After watching the trailer several times, it doesn't feel like this was for a video game. It felt like a full-blown movie trailer. It felt so real. After all of these years, this part of the story is finally coming to a close. I can't wait!

I know people are getting sick of him but I'm feeling his melodramatic- almost melancholic lust- over the warrior of light and I hope during our battle with him again (and let's be honest we're gonna kill him) that he LOVES it. I hope when we kill him he's just having the time of his life.

It can be long but once the expansion drops servers will be packed and there will be several people doing the content. I recommend pre-ordering if you haven't already to get early access.
