    Well that was a great short and clean tutorial. i can not wait to get my motors tomorrow and start messing around with it. my bot is currently running with 2 cheapo stepper motors. but they turn soooo slow that it is no fun at all...

    When you power the l298n Driver with Arduino's 5V, you need to put it in a different socket, not the one you showed. There is a specific 5V pin on the l298n.

    I am using 200rpm dc motor rated 12V and 9V supply to power to motor driver. Also I have removed 5V jumper and I am using arduino but motor is not running. Can you tell whats the reason behind it?

    If you don't choose to use the speed controls, not connecting the pins does it just run the motor on the max power?

      Yep, just make sure to keep the jumper on the pins

    Isn't method 3 a bad idea? I thought the whole point of the motor controllers was to not have all the current come from the arduino.

    DO NOT power through the arduino... just wasted 30 dollars :)

      Why what did you do ? Are you sure you connected the driver pins to the correct ports on the arduino?

      @@6gayth6 the tutorial is just straight wrong, it cannot supply enough power to the L298N and the voltage regulator will explode.

      What about the method 2 is it good because I don’t want to use the vin pin it dangerous so is method 2 good

      ​@@ibrahimadesanya3564method 2 is the most safe and should be used, I ended up using it and it worked fine.

      ​@@ibrahimadesanya3564yes, you can use different supplies for the h-bridge and the Arduino board, just make sure you tie both grounds together as shown in the video.

    does anyone know how many amps are coming from the 5v supply when powering the Arduino cant seem to find that on google is it only .36 mah? never mind answered my own questions it doesn't really have a value for it because depends on how many volts are coming into motor driver board but it isn't recommend to try and draw to much from it better to use a 12v to 5v 10amp step down Converter for what i need
