- Mattie Moss Clark & The Michigan State Community Choir "The Wages Of Sin Is Death" "The King Of Glory Shall Come In"soloist:James Moore "1985"
This song was written by a teenaged Twinkie Clark...God Bless her!
We sang this in the Reformation Movement Choir at Anderson College back in the 1970s - always been one of my favorites
Our youth choir used to ROCK this! Classic C.O.G.I.C. Gospel Music at its best! ❤️🎼🎶🎵🎹❤️
Hossana in the highest! Go Mattie Go! True gospel classic that always has me praising the Lord! The King of Glory Shall come in...what else matters not Covid 19, not turmoil, not turbulence, not hatred, but Jesus, glory!!!
Thanks for posting this wonderful classic. However, it was recorded in 1975 (not 1985). I was privileged to be a first soprano in the choir. Good times!!
Are there any newer versions on this ever recorded?
WOW!!!!!
The Love Center Choir does this song all this time!!!
I never knew who did it.
Leave it to Dr. Mattie Moss Clark!
Sing Rev James Moore.
I've actually heard a Choir in church sing this before!!! I bought Rev. James Moore's last CD before he passed!! Him and Vanessa Bell Armstrong is on it singing "Great Is Thy Faithfulness."❤️❤️
I love this song!! I used to sing it at New Life SDA Church in Huntsville, AL in the 80's!!
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (November 30), we sang The King Shall Come as our closing hymn. It is #260 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship in the Advent section. It is written by John Brownlie and set to the tune CONSOLATION from A. Davisson, Kentucky Harmony, and arranged by Theodore A. Beck. Just thought I'd share.
OH MY, one of my favorites.....I taught this to a couple of my choirs years ago....a total success!!! An anointed song!! THANKS
