Have you by chance found a way to reduce those file sizes? I'm running each file through DaVinci on h.265 and it's still quiet hefty. No reason why potato quality should take up 11gb of storage each.
I watched your video I think I'm going to be getting this one. it looks like the most easy one to use I have dealt with other recorders to much to handle.
Yo so I have this sony trv88 and it doesn’t have the rca on the camera, but has a svideo and av. Would I need to get svideo cable and a yellow rca to aux? To make it work for audio and video? Since svideo is only video??
Nice overview Omar, thanks. Quick question - if you do a speed search forward or backward on the VCR does the ClearClick still display an image? Or does it cut to the blue screen default due to low signal? I'm trying to search through my old VHS cassettes but all modern displays cut out to blue screen if you use the search speed off the VCR. Very frustrating because I am forced to watch through useless footage at 1x speed to see if there is anything of value on the video tape. Appreciate if you can let me know, thanks.
It still displays the image as you would see it if you were speed searching the tape you were watching on a TV. The only unrelated thing I found annoying is that when trying to change settings on the VCR's menu the persistent jumping of the screen made it impossible. But other than that it is fine for my channel's purposes.
i just bought this and am having major audio and video sync issues. it starts off ok but gets worse as it progresses. I've tried to keep the recordings short to avoid this but nothing is helping.
Are you able to record it onto a USB drive while watching it on your TV at the same time? I wasn't sure if you could record onto the USB, but also have the HDMI hooked up to watch it while it records on a bigger TV screen.
Hi Omar..I know my VCR is hooked up to ClearClick correctly. I can view my VHS home movies on ClearClick’s screen when in play mode. I have the converter hooked up to my TV as well so when the taped is stopped, I can view the TV program on the converter. The problem is when I push the record button nothing happens. I also don’t see the image of a camcorder in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Any help you can give me would be great. I’m trying to complete this project for Christmas.
@@omarcorrea Hmm, must be immune to macrovision. Might have to buy one of these but at that price I want to make sure it works the way I want it to work. I have movies on VHS that I want to watch on my phone. Thanks for the reply.
Can I divide the digital product into "sections" or tracks like a CD with multiple tracks so I can easily forward (or rewind) from one section to another ?
Don't trust the brightness on the clear click screen. Preview the recording on your computer to see the final product. If it's not bright enough you could try to edit it with video editing software
Hi Omar, I get fuzzy pictures and tracking issues when I play my old cassette tapes. Will I get the same quality if I transfer them on clear click digital converter?

Is it possible to convert a vhs of a concert that took place in the evening and share it with friends via we transfer or would that file be to big to share?
It would probably be a large file but I don’t know what the limit is for We Transfer. You could just upload to RUclips and make it unlisted and just share the link.
@@omarcorrea it definitely is stretching it. Otherwise I’d be very happy with the 720 just being cropped. The manual does say that if it looks stretch you can switch ratio. But I’d prefer to as you said have it cropped if that’s what it’s supposed to do

If you have a digital equalizer that you hook from the old stereos, you can hook those RCA jacks into the clear click and raise the volume. Or decrease the volume if that the case, but please note if the source video is already got static in it. This will not help at all.
It’s crazy that people use these devices to digitize there VHS. You are capturing to h.264. H.264 throws out a bunch of useful video information be compressing the crap out of it. Those compression shortcuts the h.264 codec uses aren’t good for capturing analog.
