Yeah great to see as not many mags left. PC Gamer hits 30 soon and Retro Gamer 20. Then there is only Play, PC Pro, Linux Format and then Amiga Addict and Pixel Addict sold in the shops. May be one other I am forgetting.
For about ten or twelve years this was *the* gold standard gaming magazine. In terms of design, journalism, and knowledgeable writing it was untouchable. If you wanted the definitive word on a new game (give or take a few mistakes here and there), you went for the Edge review. I'd say it took a year or so to really find its feet, but this has to be the high watermark of UK print gaming magazines even now. Jason Brookes sadly missed.
