    I got the NX2 TM Hybrid last year on sale, coming from a set of Burton C60's from 2006 these bindings are incredible. Sure you need to adjust straps one or two clicks the first few runs but you will be way ahead of your friends even after adjusting. For a quick entry binding these had the perfect mix of good reviews from multiple places, and being a high end binding with decent discounts, other brands I could not find the same sales.

    Feeling pretty good about the NX2 TM's I just ordered now. I did a lot of research, but most of the snowboard videos I found reviewing seemed pretty "Yeah bro these bindings are sick". This is a great breakdown, thanks.

    I totally agree with you about the advantages the Flow binding brings compared to the other bindings. Thanks for the video. Of course, the traditional binding is optimal for all boarders who snowboarding a lot and are often in the park. I am such a typical winter tourist and ride a maximum mostly of 6 days a year and mostly on a groomed slope, but with a focus on deep snow when available. I have therefore intensively compared between the Flow and the Burton StepOn, with a focus on the convenience of getting in. But in the end I came to the same conclusion as you and stayed with the Flow. I've been riding Flow for 13 years and remain so. The new Flow NX TM is really very good.

      @@TrakxGoPro you will get used to until you cant' go back... I went bak to Salomon quantum and holograms. Even if i love that skate feel, believe me i miss my flows. I had to retrurn them because i chose them too small as many others have done.... The comfort of the base plate is phenomenal. Dont worry about that heellift sensation... Once you réalise the binding is so réactive you can ride them loose you will forget about it... Have fun

      hi, which strap do you prefer? hybrid or fusion

  • @or-ian6973
    @or-ian6973 Год назад +3

    Been on flow nx2’s for three years now. I own the GT’s and the cheaper versions both hybrid and fusion straps. I would only buy nx2’s if getting flows. The active strap and adjustability is very much needed. The straps both have pros and cons. Either work well. Hybrids are easier so setup but not always the easiest to use. Another good thing about flows is you can buy any part you need. After several years on them they’re fully rebuildable.

  • @or-ian6973
    @or-ian6973 Год назад +3

    Another thing, the flow bindings and maybe also the nideckers use a offset disk. So you can adjust heel to toe and front to back at the same time. Notice the holes are not centered on the flow disk.

    Thanks for another great review that truly helped me make a choice. I used to ride flow in the early 00's and loved them, but once toestrap bindings started to get better it was a hard sell. Looks like im going to look for an NX2 carbon hybrid from Flow.

      We have and didn't have a great experience with them. The are put together many parts and had lots of failures at times when it wasn't good to have em. That was a few years ago though so willing to risk it and give it a try if the construction looks different. Thanks and hope they work for ya.

    Picked up a pair of the TM hybrid and have logged 2 days riding so far in varying conditions. The padding underfoot is very comfortable really absorbs chop well. It does have a bit of learning curve with still needing to adjust the ratchets to get in and out. With the hybrid I do like the full toe strap it is very flexible and molding to the shape of the boot but really makes it hard to kick in the boot if it is not loosened before the step in. I think the fusion will be slightly easier to get in and out of with less need for adjustment. The highback adjustment screw allows for very dialed in angles but at max angle makes the lock mechanism difficult for on the fly in 'n out.

      Push into the shin of your boot when locking in the highback, you then don’t need to adjust the ratchets. You also don’t need to have the bindings set as tight because the power triangle is more responsive than standard bindings.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  6 месяцев назад +1

      I would say both are pretty good bindings. It's mainly about weight vs. convenience. The Super is very heavy but I like the turning experience a little better with it and it's super easy on and off. The Flow is much lighter but it also has a much more shock absorbent footbed and a better feel underfoot. So it really comes down to personal preference.
