Will be navigating the Rhine Marne channel in this summer and found this video very helpful for my preparation. Played it mainly in quarter speed. Thank you very much! Mast- und Schotbruch!
I find the video helpful and enlightening. Once the pandemic ends, we would like to take a Bike/Barge from Nancy to Strassburg. This clip gives us a good idea of what to expect. Thank you.
Hello, the cycling along this route is pretty straightforward, although facilities can be limited in some areas - especially camp sites. No matter though, have fun! (We did the route as part of a tour around northern France, starting from our home near La Rochelle and heading eastward, northwards, westwards, and then home again - about 4,000 km in total). T'aint nothing - a few years ago we cycled the complete hexagon, and that was the best part of 10,000 km. Happy riding!
No I would want to watch a well edited and well cut movie where the right pieces are selected to tell your story. It requires you to learn video editing and operate a program like adobe premiere, Final Cut Pro or iMovie. It Also requires to think ahead about the story you want to tell. Now your high speed movie isn’t telling anything it is just a row of flashing colored surfaces moving so quickly you can’t see any details anymore. And I think we both agree it is absolutely stunning on those French canals. They deserve a better movie. Won’t you agree?
Hi edsblogging, yes I agree 100% to your comment. This canal needs good planned and cutted movies with a story. But it was not my Idea to do it, because I could already find such movies on youtube. It was to much effort to tell a new story. This is a total other class of movie. My plan was to bring the boat from Saarbrücken to Stuttgart. No time for a good story telling movie. The only thing I want to do was this video to to document the trip. It could be helpfull for orientation.

Why on earth that high speed playback? It totally ruins the movie and spoils the pleasure to watch it!
Would you like to watch a 22 hours long video? :-)
