I started watching you when I was preparing to come to the UK and you solidified my decision about Scotland. I am in Glasgow and I am glad I did.. I went to Lidl yesterday and i was amazed at some of the prices. Thank you for always carrying us along ❤
Aww ahwty! That is so awesome! Anuli is one of the 3 youtubers who added to my few reasons for making my choice to Scotland more set in stone! her videos are all so very informative well presented and spoke too! I hope to be in one of Scotland's great cities or towns one day soon! Best wishes while there!
Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...
It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.
Over the following 3 months, I want to increase my reserve from $280,000 to at least $550,000. I would be grateful for any advice you can give on how to accurately predict the market and how to diversify and balance my portfolio in order to accomplish my goal.
Hi Anuli Hope all is well! I have been waiting for a video like this, another update on grocery shopping in Scotland. THANK YOU for posting this and sharing it. This is keeping me updated on the cost of living from a person who lives in the UK particularly Scotland. Let me enlighten you about the food costs here in America. I am in Chicago Illinois right now. And Aldi which is the cheapest grocery store out here right now is even a lot higher in costs for certain items and surprisingly the ones we use the most/daily! Bread from the bakery (this is at Jewel Osco cause Aldi is WAY too high, costs about 1.99 USD the lowest for the same package you showed here. ) Grapes at Aldi the cheapest I have seen are $1.99usd per pound in weight, But it ca An be 2.99usd at times. other places 3.99 or more per pound!! Tomato paste pasta sauce. about 2.25 a jar and higher. Dishwashing liquid in our Dollar twenty-five store (Dollar General) is 1.25 USD. A quart of milk is about 2.00 USD. Peppers ONSALE .99 cents. when the sale is off it goes up. Corn forget about it! a 4-pack is about 3.50 - 4.50 per pack Regular Yogurt, ONSALE 2.99. Greek yogurt over 3.50usd Apples a bag like that is close to 5.00usd I got lucky 2 days ago and got a bag that size even a bit bigger for 1.99 a bag. and it only allows you to buy 1 bag limit. For other sale items like the grapes or strawberries (which are 3.99 and up) it allows maybe 2 packages when on sale for .99 cents a package. And you cannot go back the next day and get it again because you have to download the app in order to get the large savings and add it to your account so it can ring up at the sale price at the register. So if I was to go back again it wouldn't give me the discounted price. smh. Garlic paste is over 3.00usd A bag of onions and not even that many like yours 2.99 a bag. Bananas are by weight so .49 to .69 cents on sale per pound. The meat is about the same if on sale. ground beef is a tad bit more. a roast like what you bought about the same depending on the type of meat. Chicken is a bit higher or lower same price. Cooked chicken a whole chicken rotisserie is 6.99USD 8 piece grilled or fried chicken is 7.99 or on Mondays 5.99. But the produce and dairy and cheese prices are insane! always been higher than the UK! Scotland grows and sells most of its own produce veggies and some fruits it seems and the livestock as well is most likely local. America has changed a lot. its food even has changed not only the sizes or quantity but the quality. Some poultry brands are processed and leather-like. At one point it was cheaper for me to buy vegetarian burgers rather than the actual meat. I do not see this changing for the better. And everywhere is getting worse ..higher costs of living. But I still say this after watching and researching and monitoring Scotland particularly..hands down a less expensive cost of living. from the homes to food to clothing and home goods. A one-bedroom flat a month to live in Chicago (not NY where I came from lol thank god i moved!), minimum in a decent neighborhood is $900. USD per month. A studio is about 850.00 per month. Most flats include heat and hot water though. some may include gas, it depends on which place you choose to live. But the things included in most are hot water and heat. But the apartments are small. You are lucky to find one with a dining area or any extra rooms. If I was to rent a house even it would be over 2000.USD a month. So, my rent plus my utilities plus my internet would cost on average about 1200 a month.(for me personally it's about 1300.USD) and that is not even with food or my personal phone and laundry anything extra (no washer or dryer in most flats. if you want that you pay more on the rent. 1200 per month for most) In Scotland for a single person like myself and the right location of course a lower flat price or even a house! My total monthly cost probably for everything including the electricity/gas would be about $900 depending on what size place I would get and where (location) it could even be less! Adding also the way of living the lifestyle is at a slower much healthier way physically and mentally so much better for a person or a family. Not all places in America are like this. But the jobs and their locations force many to be where they have no choice. I fortunately work remotely (with some restrictions; I have to be approved on the location I want to go work from) My company is a UK-owned company and is Global. almost everywhere. I would be in Scotland a lot sooner! lol but I have to sort out my travel documents etc. (another whole story for me personally) But through God's will and my pushing on forward...I hope to be there in another year no more than 2 years. Thanks again! hope the family is all doing well. take care and God Bless. 🙏🙏❤
Hi Alicia, Thank you for sharing the cost of foods and other amenities in your area. I must say that we are quite fortunate here in Scotland. I find that they are generally considerate here with costs be it foods, transportation accommodation etc. I think quality of life is quite good in Scotland compared to a number of other places and I have mostly shown medium priced goods in my video. One may even get similar products at cheaper price even within the same store. From time to time, I compare quality of similar products within different price range and I then stick with ones that are of good quality at reasonable price. Hope you get to make the move soon🙂
Prices are almost same here. I bought that same salad yesterday for the same £1.99 though i would always buy beef from the African shop and not from the oyibos since i watched a video of a genitically human meat in UK on Tiktok lol
It seems price of foods is quite similar across the UK. Genetically human meat😳😳😳 Wow!!. I on the other hand was put off buying meat products from African shops after buying chicken that tasted rotten 😀

Is there no community pantry in Scotland?
