I think this series deserves a revival man. Sometimes I see it as a discount god of war(dont ask how/why, there are few similarities) but I had lots of fun with it.
I think they should remake the games at this point. It’s been too long. The games while amazing are outdated. And people barely remember the story. They should keep the same story but just upgrade visuals and gameplay to match modern standards. Allow death to double jump, give him additional powers, allow him to sprint, allow him to parry with well timed presses and maybe even add some stealth mechanics. However this would take a lot of money and would likely never happen for a studio this small. I also think it would be cool to make boss battles more dynamic. So many missed opportunities. For example imagine having to fight the first faze on that flying creatures back against the archon before the creature is killed and you fight the second stage on this arena. Then in the third stage the archon picks you up and both of you smash through floating rocks as you fight each other in mid air holding onto one another. The rocks shatter into millions of pieces as both of you smash into them damaging you both. This would make the fight more brutal and tragic as corruption slowly takes over archon more and more throughout the fight mutating him into something unrecognizable and into a monster. Would also give the archon more depth and make for a more emotional boss fight when you do kill him. They can also add more enemies such as demons who use devil dogs as mounts. Or underwater enemies. They can even add an underwater boss to make things interesting. A remake could modernize the game, make it more dynamic, more cinematic, improve gameplay and visuals while keeping the charm and mechanics that made these games so great while at the same time expanding them

Archon was a pretty hard boss to beat. You can have full health and max potions but he will chew through them faster than you can say "shit" if you're not careful.
This fight was etched on my mind, cause my goodness the stage was so beautiful and the soundtrack doing tempo with their dialogues oh goodness it was a blend of best things coalescing to form a grand battle
Death *Almost* invulnerable. War literally stabbed him with ChaosEater and he just stood there Watching then fury cut off War's arm. And then strife says : "You're lucky death is damn near invulnerable" That's from the comic book So i guess these rocks were nothing to him.

You have to consider that there are likely more angels in heaven. But the apocalypse was instigated by abbadon and the hellguard but not all of the angels.

Well here is my beef... Hell has all these bad ass enemies like Samiel and even Lucifer will be in the next one. What does heaven have left? Uriel? Even if the Archon isn't dead he is still corrupted and has his wings cut off so he can't be a good guy. The only two I can think of is the crucible angel and Nathaniel (the angel who sells weapons)
@@vinpop1237 i don't think so. Lucifer is said to be the most powerful Demon. Samael was so powerful he almost rivaled him. But then the destroyer imprisoned him and he took away some of his power. So samael is the weak one now. Lucifer was always so strong
when the final boss is killed, corruption is completely destroyed, thus he may no longer be corrupted, although he does have a large hole in his abdomen
Because it's his own kind. And the council ordered the horsemen toAnnihilate the Nephilim. Death had to do it because he is forced to. But he wanted to keep atleast something of his kind. It's something kind of emotional like there are no more nephilims so he wanted to keep their souls atleast. I'm too late but nvm
welkijken His powers only work when he is dispatched by the Charred Council. Since this whole game is essentially him operating outside of their command and without their blessing...he can only access very small amounts of the power they gave him through his own massive willpower.
Basically since the seven seals weren't broken yet, most of the horsemen have their full powers limited, so like war with his chaos form, it's limited for every horsemen until the seventh seal is broken (which in darksiders 1 war did get urial to destroy the seal)
Yeah it does make sense considering thats his biblical name and title. Archangel is a title given to powerful/high ranking angels. Do a quick google search and educate yourself.
Though he might would've but I'm sure THQ at the time wanted to show that not even heaven is safe from corruption, I'm sure that title of general could be Micheal if they introduce him.
Am I the only one who is seriously bothered by the fact the game basically takes away your finishing move from you and puts it in a cutscene? I'd at least like some action commands or something, otherwise I feel like the game killed the boss and I didn't.

My favourite boss fight in the whole game, and you ruined it by sucking...your "technique" (if it can even be called that) was deplorable. You had no style, flourish, or even strategy. You didn't even activate Reaper form even though it became available only seconds into the fight. Don't even get me started on your fashion sense...or lack thereof. If your going to post videos of you fighting game bosses at least learn a thing or two about showmanship and theatrics. The Archon is an awesome boss fight. Love the fight everytime I playthrough. So epic.
Wow you were that much updated, difficulty level as my experience was not that high and you still need 3 potions (I forgot what it was called) and you said its kind of shame. First be a gamer and play some games with highest difficulty and without any potions then go on judging and uploading. And seriously learn to dodge, that's the essence of gaming.
This guy was tough, but the music that played during the fight was epic.

I wish they wouldn't have killed this character off. He could have easily replaced Abbadon as the general of Heaven.
