Great video. But do you need to use as much oil as you're using? We prefer very little oil. Will this device still work? Also, I ordered one and got it yesterday. I used Aashirwad select atta but the chapatis were SHRINKING to the size of a small thick phulka once on the tava. Do yours also shrink?

Is it necessary put something between dough and roti presser.? Can't we just out small flat dough and press directly to make roti
Kindly use plastic cover or butter paper to press the dough otherwise dough sticks to the steel part of press Machine. I hv experienced personally!! Happy cooking 😊✌
My roti dough shrink when I take it out of the tortillas presser. What I'm doing wrong ☹️😭 by the time I'm going to put the roti in the pan is a small circle help please 😢

Usually I don't use any butter paper or stuffs. Try oiling on both the sides of the presser, then start pressing ur tortillas you'll get a perfect shape without any shrink. I'm using this method for yrs 😄. Just try it.
If you use parchment paper than it will work very well.. Watch some videos using parchment paper it will give you a good idea

Good question.... 1 Cup wheat flour 1/4cup of water.... after kneading the dough keep as such for 15 to 20 minutes....😊

Hi mam...i bought a chapati press as urs, interestingly i made chapatees as u do :) size sometime varies to the quantity of dough that is all. Thank you very much mam :) chapati is soft due to the oil added.However i am trying to make perfect pulka using this method, not yet successful till now. Any suggestions mam?

Thank you Geeta ji :) while kneading atta dough, add a tsp of oil and this ll help the dough to avoid sticking to cover. One of the other way to cut down the consumption of oil :)

After a point the roti cannot be flattened more using the press whereas if i roll it using the rolling pin i can make it bigger and thinner. How i can do it using the press itself.

I did the same way dear.... but i realized if i have 2 similar sized dough balls, the chapati that i roll out will be bigger than the one i press. Is that true?

Same procedure isthamal kijiye. Instead of putting chapati dough put pappad dough and press it!!
