When you guys review this scope on Thursday maybe you could talk about the sanctions the gov't has placed on the parent company Yantai IRAY and how this could effect their sales and support in the states? I would value your unbiased and honest opinion on this matter. It could be huge for current and future IRAY customers. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the message. We’ve already recorded the review but we can do you one better and answer here.
When the sanctions were first released 3 months ago we read the letter from iRay USA here on the podcast. Since then there has been no updates or changes. IRay USA is operating business as usual. They are receiving shipments of all their optics there have been no changes or updates. We’ve done our best to do our own independent research and we’ve come up empty handed, as these sanctions do not appear to be affecting iRay USA in any way. At this time we have no news, no updates and we’ve seen no changes, so as far as we know and as far as we can tell iRay USA’s official statement in May still holds true. If any confirmed changes take place we will update our listeners and viewers then. Thanks!

Thanks for the message. Unfortunately what you’ll get for the trade in is far less than you can sell it outright for. We suggest selling it yourself and you’ll come our WAY ahead. We just feel the trade in values are insulting to people. Good luck and we’d love to have your business on a new optic!
